Here is my census story.

I filled out the census form completely and correctly and sent it in only days after I received it.

Then I started getting calls from the census. Multiple messages on my answering machine requesting that I call them to discuss my form. Then the robo-calls asking me to call them. Finally, they left a recorded message on my answering machine. They wanted to know if any of the people I listed on my census form may have filed their own census form in another place where they might live part of the time. Obviously not, or I would not have listed them.

And I wonder why this question could not have been asked on the form if it was so important. I guess they thought about it after they decided to hire a bunch of new census workers and needed something for them to do.

In any event, I never returned any of those calls. Finally, someone called, and I answered the phone. It was a census worker. I informed him that I already filled it out, sent it in, and my form was accurate. Then I hung up.

Apparently, that did not satisfy them. We still continued to receive the robo-calls. Today, my wife answered the phone while I was not at home and it was a census worker.

He explained that he needed to talk to me. They got my form, but they needed to talk to me and I was not returning their calls, and apparently I was not happy that they'd been calling me. They needed to ask some questions about my responses.

My wife informed him that I was not there, but that she would be glad to answer whatever questions he might have.

"Oh, we can't do that. We've got to talk to him."

"Well in that case, you're out of luck. And by the way, I would not keep calling."

"Ohhhh..... ok..... I'll tell my colleagues."

I wonder if the calls are going to stop, or just become more frequent.

Well, good job zero. Another failure to add to your long list of failures. Hey, just fire up the printing presses and make more money. Apparently you don’t care that your daughters are going to be taxed at 70 or 80% of their income.
Never mind. You’ll probably just move the tribe back to Kenya when we fire your ass.

By the way, I added up the cost of all the prior censuses, and it comes to $8,724,850,104. So Obama is paying approximately 67% more than the cost of all prior censuses.

The same thing has happened to me, one robo call after another after I’ve filled it out! Why are they doing this? It’s a total waste of resources! But Obambi probably wants to give them employment under fake pretenses as long as possible.

Well the money is sure not going to us temporary enumerators!
I’ve been “employeed” for 8 weeks. 1st week was training and was the only 40 hr. week. Last week I made $86.46
But we are still “employed” so the jobs numbers will still look OK for Obozo. The real waste is the min wage slobs that they hire for office work. Those people are literally incapable of alphabetizing a list of 10 names. So they are “hired”, “trained”, get a check, and get fired their first day on the job.

Can’t wait to see gov’t healthcare \sarc

Funny, that is similar to what happened to us today. They called (second or third time - I didn’t answer the previous calls) and told me that they need to make sure everybody is counted, then asked to speak to my wife who had filled out the form). I loudly said, “Dear, it’s your federal government calling you” in as snarky a tone as I could muster.

She’s normally kind to a fault to everybody on the phone including telemarketers and useless customer support reps, but this time she laid into the schmuck. Told him we had had already filled out their form, all the information was accurate, she wasn’t going to answer any more questions for them on the phone and to STOP WASTING OUR TAX DOLLARS. He persisted and she started getting really PO’d. Then the idiot asked if anybody else lived at our address who we did not report on the form and she went off on a rant about no, we filled it the form out accurately unless they wanted to count our cat and dog plus our daughter’s cat who occasionally visits when she comes home. She finally yelled “Stop calling us” and hung up. It was good to see her so riled up at fedzilla.

Now I see they’ve spent an additional $10 billion over what they spent last time and I can see why we are getting harassed — they have an endless supply of workers and dollars to spend. This experience sure makes us hate the gov’t even more.

Thanks for the chuckle, although it wasn't fun for your wife at the time.

Why are they doing this?

Obviously the libtards had big plans for this census. 'Seismic demographic shifts' & whatnot - a 'more diverse than ever' population and a few extra seats in promising districts. The whole ACORN thing kinda threw them off, but I believe they'll have their result whether its the truth or not.

No doubt the media has the headlines already written. They already rolled one out about whitey having only 40 years 'till he's a minority, etc.

I’m living in a small town of 100,000 on the coast of NC and a friend of mine started working there part time when he heard that they would be hiring about 1500 people. Imagine this happening all over the country. We are living in an artificial economy.

Yep. Make-work very part-time jobs to hide the real unemployment level—and a Democrat’s dream for plumping their preferred demographics—for both spending and congress-critters.

Hey, I’m one of those minimum wage slobs working in the office and you should see the crud we get sent in by the enumerators. Actually, in my area, the pay is $9.25/hr, well above the minumum wage.

The census dude was parked outside my house. We refused to open the door and made funny faces at him through the window.....

The census cost won’t be measured in dollars but rather measured in terms of new populations counted 10 or 12 Hispanic populations, all creating new democrat representatives, etc.

I answered only the first question....How many people live at your address.

Then, covering all other questions: MYOB, and concluded with a statement: "According to the United States Constitution, I am only required to to report how many live at my address."

Haven't heard a thing from them.

Apparently, my mistake was that I gave them my phone number. I don’t remember doing that, but I’ll make sure I don’t answer that question in the future. It worked for you.

The 2010 Census was turned into a federal stimulus jobs program to make the unemployment numbers look better. It also was to double and triple count illegals and minorities in areas that reliably vote Democrat. Cost and accuracy were way down the to do list for Omama’s administration.
