Posted on 06/24/2010 11:30:24 AM PDT by skimbell
Fox News anchor Jane Skinner announced at the end of her program, Happening Now, this afternoon that she would be leaving the network effective immediately. Ive decided to take a break from this business, she said.
Skinner has been with FNC since 1998. This is my last day on the air at Fox, she said, citing family reasons. Skinners husband, Roger Goodell, is the commissioner on the National Football League...

Oh yeah, not too hard to look at either. Oh well...
I’ve decided that I want my wife to be a stay at home mom......sorry.
I guess her husband got tired of her making eyes at Jon
My bet is on Harris Faulkner to replace her. Harris has a great personality, but Jane’s kinda prude and reserved nature played well with John Scott.
I won’t miss her.
My kind of woman , beauty , brains, and grace . If I could find one who likes stupid , ugly, oafs, we could make beautiful music .
Hmmm less Obama cheerleading maybe?
Counting down until the lamestream liberal dogs start digging into her life to turn this into something scandalous...3...2...1...
No great loss. She was as naive as a teenager.
Wonder what her husband does for the Obama Administration?
Oh and I know who her husband is, it was more of a comment about the news business than Skinner.
Naive? You may be right, but I have always thought she was just another lefty.
Now she’ll have time to make her husband a sandwich.
And, by ruin professional football, I mean cowering to the union thugs and Obmaa supporters who torpedoed Rush Limbaugh's bid for franchise ownership.
Me too. Never did like her and refuse to watch her. I’ll turn off the TV first.
I’m with you....Go with Harris
Nor will I. I found her to be reliably liberal on nearly all major issues. Good riddance!
That’s about what I’d say about a FReep favorite....Julie ‘dumb as a box of rocks’ Banderas.
I hope you use the remote when you do. I don't think you can catch an STD from touching a TV that she's on, but I'm not positive. I wouldn't take the chance.
Too simple-minded to have any real political ideology.
Question: if the plural of "hoof" is "hooves", and the plural of "loaf" is "loaves", shouldn't the plural of "oaf" be "oaves"?
Well, my first reaction was, Who leaves a steady, good-paying job just as the economy is falling into a depression? But I guess her husband has a pretty good-paying job as well.
But it’s easier to quit a job in this market than it is to find a new one, IMHO.
Come on, you're being too kind. He's completely queer. LOL
Tolkien argues that the plural of dwarf is debatable. Dwarfs or dwarves? He prefers dwarfs.
FNC airheads: Huddy, Harris, & Friel.
Perhaps you think that she is good looking, but she is a Lefty, as is her radical NFL czar husband. Her leaving is good news for Fox News.
Good question. Commissioner of NFL-you know he’s got to be a big lib, and he played key role in negating Limbaugh’s ownership quest. But Skinner has maintained a non-partisan demeanor.
I take it that you are trying to help me, because you are not exactly demonstrating your superior intellect by asking this question to one who already admitted he was stupid . I get prayers from Freepers sometimes too . thanks to you all .
Lol! I WAS being too kind. Bottom line, I can’t stand the SOB.
Nor will I.
Skinner received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Northwestern University. Her father is Sam Skinner, former Secretary of Transportation and White House Chief of Staff under President George H.W. Bush. She is married to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and resides in Westchester, New York, with their twin daughters.
Ditto - I always expect her to end a sentence with,”Tewtally, whatever...”
Skinnerville will need a new mayor and town name. Huddyville? Faulknerville?
I wonder if she has a brother named Richard....................
I bet he got slapped around a lot in high school...he has that annoying manner about him. I know I would’ve knuckled his temple a few times
Huddy and Margaret Hoover are the most unwatchable women on Fox. Huddy absolutely destroys every Red Eye she’s on. She’s horrible.
Good news, afaic.
Exactly. ‘nuf said.
With her now having more time to clip coupons and cut the kids hair herself, I think they'll muddle through.
Good grief! Me either, what a drama queen.

Good chance her twin daughters are approaching or are in their teen years, and she needs to be around to ward off those testosterone-crazed, adolescent males. [Hey, I was one, once upon a time!]
Hoover compounds and exponentiates her "annoyability factor" by being engaged to that d-bag John Avalon.

"I am thrilled to announce that Mumia Abu-Jamal has joined the Barbershop as a weekly contributor!! His column, Live From Death Row, will appear every Wednesday starting next week.
Mumia Abu-Jamal is one of the worlds most celebrated journalists, freedom fighters, and political prisoners. Since his early days in Philadelphia, Mumia was an active member of the Black freedom struggle. From his award-winning journalism to his involvement with the Black Panther Party, Mumia has devoted his life to Black liberation. Wrongfully incarcerated since 1981 for the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner, Mumia has continued to place a spotlight on various forms of injustice around the globe through his numerous columns, commentaries, and books. Mumia has generated international support for his own case, which has been one of the most glaring and repugnant reflections of the criminal (in)justice system."--Marc Lamont Hill

They probably won’t do it, but I’d like to see Shannon Bream or Jamie Colby take it. Shannon fills in for Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier so I doubt she’ll be considered.
