Turns out my neighbor’s son in law was in the WH during 9/11 in some management position having to do with the location of POTUS - said that Bush wanted to come back to the WH in the worst way but the s/s wouldn’t let him right away. The left is so malicious and at least it’s now obvious to any casual observer since Less Than Zero does far worse with little if any complaints from them.

The son in law said Bush was a great guy, very down to earth, would come to meeting in shorts, loved his dog, and that Bush got a bad rap.

Obviously we all know this but it’s nice to hear it from someone who knows from personal experience.

"I said that on purpose. And now all this (criticism), like I'm going to care? It was a joke. Hello, anybody there?

"It's a joke"

"Has anyone ever watched Saturday Night Live? They joke about Bush all the time. As for a public apology, are they kidding?

"I was in two minds whether to say it and I actually waited until the President had gone because I didn't want to embarrass him or his family."

"come on, it's rock and roll. It wasn't a religious meeting and I'm allowed to make jokes"

You get the impression Sir Paul has turned this over in his mind quite a bit. He knows full well it was inappropriate and bad form. I doubt he finds his own rationalizations convincing.

The one ex-Beatle whose music, after a few early nice tunes, really annoys me.

Even Ringo “It Don’t Come Easy” Starr I liked better.

McCartney obviously thinks that GW was a bad President. I bet he voted for Kerry... And Gore.

By absentee ballot, of course.

Any chance Chapman will ever be paroled?

Let’s see, Bush holds a BA from Yale and an MBA from Harvard. McCartney holds ... oops: he’s never been enrolled at a post-secondary academic institution. McCartney makes a good case for xenophobia.

"After the last eight years, it's great to have a President who knows where the library is,"

Well you see, Paul, Americans elect their presidents to serve as leaders. Knowing "where the library is" not really a requirement for the position.

I doubt if that nut case Chapman cared anything about Lennon advocating communist revolution.

In Obama's case, it's the libary.

Actually Paul SNL quit joking about Bush once he left office so that point makes no sense. The only joke I see here is you thinking you can still sing, that one really makes me laugh!

I’ll bet Bush has read at least several books for every book Barry has read.

Joke? I heard Sir Paul used to hide Heather's fake leg so he could watch her walk in circles.
