White House: We're not anti-business

By BEN WHITE | 7/8/10 1:15 PM EDT

POLITICO 44

The White House has launched a coordinated campaign to push back against the perception taking hold in corporate America and on Wall Street that President Barack Obama is promoting an anti-business agenda.

Obama has been happy to be seen by voters as cracking down on Wall Street but those efforts have had an unintended result: feeding a sense that the president and his party are indifferent or even actively hostile toward big business, whether those businesses are Silicon Valley tech companies, Midwest manufacturers or Main Street small businesses.

And it is more than just politics: Obama’s aides believe confidence in the general direction of White House policy has an effect on the willingness of corporations to hire, invest and push the economy toward a more solid recovery.

What cracks me up about Zero is that he acts as though he has never heard the phrase “Your actions are so loud I cannot hear what you are saying.”

The Obama regime is not anti-business (as long as it’s run by the “benovolent” government, they’re anti-free enterprise.

Sounds very similar to “I’m not a crook!” or.... “I did not have sex with that woman!”

Semantics!!!

Of course this Administration is not against big business. The bigger the better when they confiscate it.

They are against capitalism, free enterprise and profit for investors, entrepreneurs and private citizens, except for tax purposes.

Has the W.H.a ever had a business? Other than sending out envelopes asking people for money and their votes?

I would like of the “shining lights” in The White House tell us what they have done to promote business and generate private sector jobs.

But this is a stupid thing to demand. These people loathe business of every stripe.

Government is their God. If they’re so smart(and I include Mr. Obama in this) how come they don’t understand that hating the private sector, raising taxes and increasing entitlements won’t work?

Only a myopic meathead would suggest to a drunk that he could sober up if he drank more. That’s what they believe.

It’s quite telling that the Obama administration felt the need to come out and deny that they are anti-business.

Anyone with even minimal reasoning skills can figure out what that really means.
