There's something very tortuous about watching some of the talking heads assembled on NBC's "The Chris Matthews Show," especially when they try to dissect former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin like she is some alien life form.
On the July 11 broadcast of his weekend show, Matthews and his panel analyzed Palin's "Mama Grizzlies" ad spot and attempted to determine what Palin's end goal was with the ad. And Time magazine's Joe Klein attributed credit to Palin's charismatic ability.
"The most important thing about Sarah Palin is that she's a great stand-up politician," Klein said. "I mean, when you hear her talk - this is not a woman who has sat in a room with a political consultant telling her how to pronounce words. It's just her voice."

Please don’t take offense, but most Americans have no idea who Chris Matthews and Joe Klein are. Why give them any attention at all on this site? They are creepy and twisted. It’s best to leave them to the Daily KOS crowd.
They really make fools of themselves.
And, how, pray tell, does that differ from what one could say about Bill Clinton, or about the "cackle" heard yesterday in the Hillary interview about the upcoming wedding?

Yeah Joe. The sooner Sarah Palin knows that there are 57 states, and that the US Constitution is 20 centuries old, etc., the more likely she’ll send a thrill up Chrissy’s leg.

These PMSNBC jerks have their noses so high in the air they can't see a thing beyond the miasma spewing from their oh-so-intellectual brains.
Of course they despise Sarah, they don't understand anything about her and never will. Still, from somewhere deep down they know they need to be scared sh!+less of her. And they are.
They want desperately to believe she's a stupid hick who cannot pronounce her words. No matter how many times Klein and his ilk say things like that, not one tiny bit of it will be made true.
Meanwhile, Sarah just sits back and pulls their chains with predictable sturm und drang reactions from marxist pundits. She doesn't even have to run for office (in fact I think she's having too much fun endorsing candidates who win while she tweaks radical-liberal noses). You just have to love her!
This is a political site, and most people here know who Klein and Matthews are. And it’s not like they are getting any positive publicity here, quite the opposite. Showing examples of what despicable creeps they are is a public service.

They hate people like Palin, or anyone else who challenges the central dogma that they have chosen to define themselves. These types are very, very, very common at the Ivies, but are certainly not confined there. They are those whose mothers told them they were ‘special’ and they have held on to this as gospel their whole lives.
They generally are hard working and spend lots of time committing ‘facts’ to memory. They can quote lots and lots of ‘appropriate’ ‘intelligent’ literature / publications, and consider themselves very well read, but they lack imagination. They are not creative, and too often they can't really think on their feet and synthesize the facts before them. They compare and interpret everything they see in the world against their academic internal database, a database that never changes or grows because they never question their core beliefs. They are, ironically, incredibly small-minded and unyielding, the same attributes they attribute to those who think differently than they do.
They are like the perfect musical technicians, who have learned all the advanced tenets of music theory, and have become proficient technical instrumentalists, but can't write a new beautiful piece of music, or offer a novel interpretation of an existing piece, because they don't know how to create. They have spent their lives becoming drones, but they amazingly think they are the most cognitively lithe beings in the world.
This is at the core of why they hate Palin. They call her ‘stupid’ because she doesn't read word for word from their ‘holy book’. She hasn't jumped through the same hoops they jumped through or mastered the same set of ‘facts’ and beliefs that they have spent their lives mastering. When others believe in her, and listen to her, it invalidates them. It devalues them and the elite ‘club’ they have worked so hard to earn a right of passage into. It's about ego. It almost always is, to some extent.
