Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston say they're engaged — and they haven't told her parents yet.
Palin, the daughter of 2008 vice-presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, is featured on the cover of Us Weekly with Johnston, holding their son, 18-month-old Tripp.

If true, I think it’s too bad. As Judge Judy says, “Looks fade, dumb is forever”. I dearly love Gov. Palin and don’t think she has done a bad job raising her kids, but Bristol has some VERY hard lessons to learn about Levi if this is true.
Levi has a lot of growing up to do and his rants against the Palin family are proof enough. I don’t think this kid is done, yet. I think the DBM has set him up to get more information they can use to try and sabotage Sarah’s presidential run in ‘12. I just don’t trust this kid.
Well, we are talking about the same magazine that published photos of Carni(sp) Wilson and that female wrestler, Chyna. There must be an audience for that kind of thing, I guess.
I just hate it that Bristol and Levi are not going to be able to live like a normal couple.
I read another article but can’t find it now where she mentioned if it wasn’t for the limelight they became exposed to in 08 the would be married, living in small 1 bedroom apt, Levi would still be working on the north slope and they would be struggling like most others.
Bristol has her own agenda and the sooner she gets out from under the influence/control of momma it maybe the best for them.
Do we know for sure that they did? Those magazines are very good at doctoring things to make the pictures look completely different than the original. There was just a story last week about how they (or some other tabloid) really faked a photo of Jennifer Aniston.
I just don’t believe it until we get confirmation from Sarah or a Palin representative.
That’s somewhat respectful of her father.
Carrying on the family tradition of strange, alliterative names for male children. Heck, even the girls have goofy names: Willow, Bristol...Piper is the only halfway normal name.

In addition to the photo, there's a LENGTHY interview (for which I'm SURE they were compensated, probably handsomely), where both Bristol and Levi talk in detail, and on the RECORD, about their rekindled romance.
Yes, glossy weeklies sometimes doctor or even fabricate cover photos. BUT, even New York Times Co. v. Sullivan doesn't allow journalists to make up quotes and entire interviews with people without facing substantive legal action for slander and defamation of character.
It's true. And, the fact that you refuse to believe it until you get "confirmation from Sarah or a Palin representative", is deeply disturbing.
You are confusing Trig and Tripp, but I get your point.

Ronald’s Reagan’s children were a far greater embarrassment throughout his presidency and the MSM constantly used them to attack president Reagan and try to destroy him. Don’t you remember all the stories about how Ronald Reagan preached family values but did a terrible job raising his kids? Don’t you remember Patti and Ron Jr. continually embarrassing him?
