Fast jet fans in the UK are set for a real treat at this weekend’s Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire as the US Air Force’s F-22A Raptor is finally set to make its debut at the airshow after the aborted event in 2008.
Major Dave "Zeke" Skalicky performed a rehearsal display this afternoon that can only be described as “stunning” – the USAF’s experience with the jet has provided an even more dynamic display than two years ago that knocks the typical F-16 and Typhoon display into a cocked hat.
With the Vulcan and F/A-18F also set to perform, Fairford is not short of flying stars this year. Remember that if you don’t have a ticket, you can’t buy one on the gate!

Another screw up of the Obama Administration. The canceling of the F22. To be honest they are cutting back on the numbers produced. But this is stupid because every plane they produce gets a little less in cost. And yes I know the F22 is hideously expensive. But it's the best fighter in the world by a comfortable margin. Such things don't come cheap. So we will spend hundred of billions on stimulus garbage but we cancel a proven winner. How many jobs did we lose when we cut back on the F22? And those were GOOD jobs- not the garbage that came with the stimulus.
Obama is a total clown. He's an idiot when it comes to national defense and we will pay for this big time in the future. He's put us at risk.
