From the Senate schedule:

Now, Reid, knowing the pressure of such publicity, has done a bait and switch. He has scheduled a vote today on 4213. If the Rinos vote against the bigger bill, the press will crucify them, without mentioning the switch.

Is there a connection between the original article posted and the link you posted?
What’s the cost of 4213 and what kind of “tax cuts” are in it?
You’re right...the American public doesn’t pay attention to such details. (Just look at any of Jay Leno’s street interviews to see just how dumb some people are.) While I’ll get flamed for saying so, I really do think you should have to take and pass a current events test before you’re allowed to vote.
Why would anyone flame you for that statement? I’ll go farther than that. Voters should be required to pass a general intellgence test.
Do you know why HR 5618 had ‘reduced costs’?
That link appears to be a sink hole - phishing? - for an ad.
AMEN!
The link goes to the Senate schedule for today, showing the bills that will be considered today.
Those who do not have a stake in keeping the federal government within the bounds of the US Constitution... those without a stake in the continuation of liberties... those whose property would not be seized by the government should NOT have a say in the election of the government.
HR 4213 is a 417 page bill dealing with a lot of money items. HR 5618 is one issue - the unemployment extension.
This recent aggressive Democrat attack on Republicans over unemployment compensation has come from a meeting where Pelosi gave the WH hell for saying the House is in play in November, the WH trying to disassociate themselves from the loss ahead of time. This is their attack strategy to raise Republicans negatives as they did Sharon Angle's. Also with this is the talking points saying that the Republican position is their characterization of Sharon Angle's statement: "The unemployed are too lazy to work so don't deserve compensation." , as well as wanting tax cuts for 'the rich'.
My thoughts are:
1)Hold the bill up further making democrats talk about the current 'economic emergency' while trying to claim we are 'headed in the right direction' .
2) Question Democrats motives . Say “THEY WANT YOU ON WELFARE DEPENDENT ON THEM FOR HANDOUTS” Say that 'THEY WANT YOU VOTERS UNEMPLOYED TO THEY CAN PLAY POLITICS WITH YOUR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS!' Ask why democrats are not paying you the minimum wage, or a living wage.
Sometimes it's tough to watch lame Republicans.
Take it even farther - Only property owners should be allowed to vote.
“Voters should be required to pass a general intellgence test.”
And candidates should reveal THEIR test scores months before any election.
And Snowe and Brown will not learn a damned thing.
No, it doesn’t. It goes to something completely unrelated.
" And Robert Redford's going to show Dems how to smolder before a teleprompter."
Harry practices smoldering.
