NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Secret Service agents have raided the home of a former Metro Councilwoman.
Agents were at the home of Pam Murray on Stockell Street on Thursday. The Secret Service won't say exactly why they were investigating, but the Tennessean reports they could be looking at her son. He's on probation for credit card fraud.
Murray told the paper she thinks the raid may have something to do with her son violating his probation.
When NewsChannel 5 went to her house for more information someone slammed the door.
It may or may not be about her son, she has a very colorful past herself...

Why would the Secret Service get involved in a probation violation? That sounds like U.S. Marshals’ work.
The secret Service serves all parole violations these days, right? Methinks this may go a little deeper than she admits.

What is a “Metro” Councilwoman? Why not “Nashville” Councilwoman? And why would the Secret Service be involved in a probation violation?

I just spent 9 years working a LOT of fraud investigations with Secret Service. They’ll jump in on anything fraud related and are very helpful when it comes to financial crimes. My guess is somekind of counterfeit checks or credit cards combined with identity theft...

Thanks for the info. Just seemed like a bit ove overkill for a prob violation. If they have jurisdiction though I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
