From an anti-Semite to a Nazi.. That’s how the lame stream media will spin it. Actually though, it’s a “uh oh November is almost here, let’s show America we’re fair” move.

I’m glad Fox will be there, but we’ll see how Gibbs treats them. Not long ago Journo-List wanted The FCC to pull the plug on FOX.

You raise a good point mentioning Journolist. How could a group of (cough) journalists deny FOX the seat up front when that story is still a hot topic? Even some liberals would have trouble keeping a straight face saying "There's no leftwing media bias" days after FOX gets denied a seat the rules say they should receive!

The White House Correspondents Association voted unanimously Sunday afternoon to move Fox News to the front row of the White House briefing room.

I bet that gives Helen Thomas the worst case of indigestion... as well as Mr Gibbs.

They should hire Rush, or better yet put Palin on that assignment.

Then watch the Kenyan or is lackey Gomer Gibbs squirm.

i am loving this...though I have some reluctance to relying on Fox as always above board...too much ME ownership is enough to question where they sometimes are coming from.

Relax, I steam cleaned that seat last week. Was filthy. Had fly larvae and bubble gum under the seat.

The White House Correspondents Association voted unanimously Sunday afternoon to move Fox News to the front row of the White House briefing room...the Associated Press will move to the front-row middle seat formerly occupied by [Helen] Thomas. Fox News will replace the AP in its former seat, also in the front row, and NPR, which lobbied for Thomas' seat along with Fox and Bloomberg News, will take Fox's former seat in the second row. The 2010-2011 WHCA board includes representatives from USA Today, Reuters, C-SPAN, the New York Times, Politico, Time Magazine, NPR and the DC Examiner.

Just dang, I was looking forward for Les Kinsolving to take the seat.

Then you would’ve seen heads really explode at DUmmieland.

The board of the White House Correspondents Association has agreed, by consensus, to move the Associated Press to the front row, center seat in the James S. Brady Briefing Room.

The board further agreed to move Fox News to the front row seat previously occupied by AP, and relocate NPR into the second row seat previously held by Fox, next to Bloomberg News.

It was a very difficult decision. The board received requests from Bloomberg and NPR in addition to Fox for relocation to the front row and felt all three made compelling cases. But the board ultimately was persuaded by Fox’s length of service and commitment to the White House television pool.

The board also made a series of adjustments to the larger seating chart, including the addition of a new seat for the foreign press pool.

These deliberations mark the third time in four years the board has tackled this issue, and we urge members to view seating room changes as an ongoing process that will be revisited again as our industry evolves.

The changes are effective Monday, August 2. In addition, the board member from NPR abstained from debate of seating assignments for the first two rows.

Liberal groups had lobbied for NPR's placement in the front row over Fox, which one petition called a "right-wing propaganda outlet."

*shakes head* and those idiots don't see the irony in that sentence, either..

This is extremely expected. I was betting on npr to take the seat.

I know Baghdad rob isn’t going to be happy having his cheerleaders stuck in the second row.
