Rescheduled, not cancelled: Breitbart to get RNC invite

The Republican National Committee has cancelled a fundraiser with conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart, who is under fire for promoting an edited video that falsely portrays former Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod as having boasted about discriminating against a white farmer looking for her assistance.

Breitbart was scheduled to appear with RNC Chairman Michael Steele at a reception later this month in Beverly Hills.

“ObabaGoons have finished-off Breitbart. Smoothly done.”

Might facts and fortune make a difference? I suspect they will.

The spokesman said the fundraiser was cancelled “To better capitalize on the fall fundraising season that happens post-Labor Day, while also lowering costs by utilizing existing trips to California.”

Not only are they cowards but they are also liars.

I am so glad I quit giving money to the RINO National Committee years ago.

I give it straight to the people I want it to go to: Sarah, Michelle, the Arizona defense fund, etc.

FURNC.

This is why I can’t trust anybody who leads the Republican party. Sending the signal they will cave in when they take back congress to the left. There are only a few who are worth trusting, the rest are lying.

Nancy was just on the tube explaining how the Democrats have double the warchest of the Republicans for these November elections.

Every day it becomes more and more obvious the Michael Steele is a Democrat plant at the RNC.

Why do people keep insisting on returning to the OP(formerly the GOP)?

I don't know why so many are still fooled that the GOP is anything but Dems-lite. I first saw this in the local elections a few years ago for a congressional seat. The local, state, and national GOP did everything they could to sabotage the good conservative and turn the seat over to a liberal (either R or D).

I don't think much has changed as far as the overall "party" goes. All they do is trick people into thinking they are an alternative to Ds.

Of course there are a few, individual exceptions.

Our country has a severe shortage of gonads at all levels of government as well as nonexistent levels of testosterone. That affliction has struck the leadership of the GOP too.

Jan Brewer has more gonads than 99.9% of the so-called men in DC. We are a nation governed by spineless, gutless, eunuchs and traitors.

Same here.

The socialists realize this is war and are acting accordingly - the GOP is still in dreamland and thinks this is just old fashioned politics. Until they wake up (and get rid of Steele) they won’t get my contribution.

I give my take on the Andrew Breitbart’s video of Shirley Sherrod’s speech before the NAACP. I am re posting it from another thread:

The video of Shirley Sherrod’s speech revealed the racism of the NAACP audience. There is no way one could mistake the overwhelming evidence of racism. I believe Breitbart wanted to reveal black racism against whites that is the true picture of the NAACP, an organization that is trying to tie racism to the Tea Party movement.

Sherrod was only the catalyst and and the interaction between her and the audience is the main subject. Sherrod was throwing out comments that not only triggered racist reactions against whites, but it also revealed an acceptance of Marxism where wealth is redistributed. This paints a revealing picture of the NAACP!

I see the State Owned Media has done its best to muddy the waters with the focus on Sherrod. This is an effort to shift focus away from the real culprit, the NAACP. And Sherrod, who has acted to promote the media’s effort to redeem her, has dug herself in deeper with revelations about her husband’s racism and now their business dealings.

Nice to see that CNN is still lying about the video being edited. From everything I’ve been able to learn on this, Breitbart did not do any editing, rather, just excerpted a bite from the whole video. Good thing no one actually watches CNN anymore.

“CNN getting it wrong again.”

The lie is on purpose. The socialists (including their propaganda outlets like CNN) see this as war, and therefore outright lies, cheating, distortions, misrepresentations are perfectly fine and effective weapons to use. Even moral, as far as they are concerned because they’re fighting a greater “evil” - freedom.

The OP(formerly the GOP)have been for decades leading people to believe they are the opposition to the RATs when in fact they are merely one wing of the socialist Republicrat party.

Once again, Republicans bow to the leftists because it’s easier than doing their own thinking.

The real story here is that the NAACP members comprising the audience cheered when Sherrod stated she had screwed a white guy solely on the basis of his race.

They didn’t wait for the part where she claimed to have put her racism aside and in fact they couldn’t have cared less if she did.
To them the important part of the story is that she used her position of power to stick it to Whitey.

The gutless Republicans should be clearly stating their objections to the NAACP approval of racism instead of teaming with leftists to disparage Breitbart.

This isn't a bad thing.

Assuming that they are both working towards the same goal (ie, politically damaging and bringing down Obama and the Dems) such a move give both Breitbart AND the RNC a heck of a lot more maneuvering room to focus on their respective areas of specialty.

I'm assuming that most of us have seen the Mary Frances Berry interview where she says that it doesn't matter whether the Tea Party is racist or not - Dems still need to throw out the racism charge because it's an effective distraction against talking about a lack of jobs, etc (article here.

If this fundraiser or any other joint activity takes place, then the media emphasis will be on the relationship, rather than what is actually being said and exposed. "Plausible deniability" in the form of both sides (Breitbart and the RNC) being able to claim independence and distance from one another is an effective counter to such tactics.

Instead of getting rid of him, let’s just set up a parallel unit. Sarah Palin can head it, gather national funds for conservative folks. Maybe call it Conservative National Committee instead of Republican NC. Could overlap when feasible, contribute to conservatives when RINOS were backed by the RNC. Flex muscles.
