Since when does Andrew Breitbart edit press conferences and interviews and cobble them together? This is the first I’ve heard of that. Dave is flat-out wrong and owes Andrew an apology. Another thing: I just love it when a serial adulterer lectures me on moral issues.
It indeed is a smokescreen. The video of Shirley Sherrod’s speech revealed the racism of the NAACP audience. There is no way one could mistake the overwhelming evidence of racism by the NAACP. I believe Breitbart wanted to reveal black racism against whites that is the true picture of the NAACP, an organization that is trying to tie racism to the Tea Party movement.
Sherrod was only the catalyst and and the interaction between her and the audience is the main point of Breitbart’s use of the video. Sherrod was throwing out comments that not only triggered racist reactions against whites, but it also revealed an acceptance of Marxism where wealth is redistributed. This paints a revealing picture of the NAACP!
I see the State Owned Media and useful fools like Letterman and Maddow,has done its best to muddy the waters with the focus on Sherrod. This is an effort to shift focus away from the real culprit, the NAACP. And Sherrod, who has acted to promote the media’s effort to redeem her, has dug herself in deeper with revelations about her husband’s racism and now their business dealings.
Oh, far too many of my very liberal friends must still think it's 1986 and still believe he's funny. To be perfectly honest, the late night talk show genre should have come to a screeching halt when Johnny Carson hung it up.
