Texas is thriving due to conservative policies implemented over the past decade under Republican leadership that have made Texas one of the greatest states in the nation to live, work and raise a family. Thanks to Republican principles of limited and transparent government, low taxes and predictable regulations, our state is well-positioned for the future and does not need more of the failed liberal agenda the Democrat majority is pushing from Washington.

Is he going to Austin?
If the “he” you mean is Obama, yes, he’ll be in Austin and Dallas on Monday - although Democrat gubernatorial candidate Bill White plans to be far, far away.
No Ceasar, do not go to Rome!
“Et tu? Brutus?”
“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
Feces peto suus campester , adverto vermis tunc feteo quod puter.
I hope he gets heat stroke.
But any kind of stroke will do.

I’m sure he’s going to Austin..it’s the blue speck in the state.
Heck yea!
More than just Austin is blue. Most of the Rio Grande Valley is blue as well. Much of this is just Southern Dimmocrat history/momentum, and much of it is likely due to the remote nature of a lot of the voting precincts, allowing for a large degree of ballot box "adjustment." (See references to LBJ's 1948 Senate race = Jim Wells County Box 13.)
The Texas GOP like the Florida GOp sucks and is filled with RINOs.
P U, hehehe ;-)
Stevie, your name is Sparticus! LOL
Gonna try and be there.
I’ll be the one with the sign that says
END PREDATORY GOVERNMENT
Wish this was not at the same time as Rush Hour traffic.
I know. I have dinner plans. I think they are hoping the Capitol parking lot will be empty by that time.
Et tu? Brutus?
Brutus: “Naw, Man. I ain’t et nuthin’ yet”!....Brother Dave Gardner.
FUBO going to Dallas? Such nerve.
I’m here now. Good turnout for as hot as it is. It starts in 10 minutes.
I was there. I stayed for about 90 minutes. A lot of preaching to the choir. Not too electrifying. I stood to the back and east, in the shade.
There were some nutjobs, too. One idiot with a “9-11 was an inside job” poster. There were four college-aged kids holding signs and passing out pamphlets for “Citizens Against Breastfeeding”. One sign said “God made breasts for husbands, not children”. The media covering the event flocked to those guys rather than interview anti-Obama protesters. I felt they were liberal plants there to portray Republicans as kooks, which is exactly what the media was looking for.
That’s why the Tea Party will never be allowed in the GOp tent..the TP is against old geezer RINO incumbents.
The Bat lady’s husband and I were there. We took 3 flags (texas revolutionary flags & one that we have had for a while that said “Don’t mess with Texas”) and a Devil Doggett sign.
Someone I knew was walking the crowd counting. I asked him later he said 893 so we called it 900. The AAS had a HUGE article on Obama coming to Austin and in those pictures was ONE picture of the “Hands off Texas” Rally. AMD THAT IS WHAT THEY CALL FAIR AND BALANCED.
They said the republicans said 2000 and the reporter said 1000.
I think the heat dampened a lot of the enthusiasm. We all knew this would be ignored/miscast/slanted by the MSM. But I work weekends so I couldn’t go to most of the TEA Party and other rallies so I felt I needed to go to this one to show my support.
I was so disappointed not to be able to come to this! We had plans to come and bring several others with us-—but a situation came up, and we just weren’t able to get away.
Glad you were there, Bat Lady, and thanks for the write up. I hadn’t heard much about it since I don’t watch tv or read the AAS.
Thanks for being there Bat Lady. They always seem to have these things when I am on vacation. I think the 893 was the number that signed the petition, so the crowd was a bit larger.
Don’t let that get around...I have a reputation to uphold...;-)
Besides...Leather thongs make me chafe something fierce!!!
