You know, this makes me kind of glad I live in the L.A. area where most of the ‘minorities’ are hispanic (Mexican). They do take over because of their sheer numbers but for the most part, aside from the gang member types, they seem to want their little ‘piece of the pie’ (jobs/homes/etc.) and are rarely seen rioting as in the pic from Atlanta.
Rather, they take to the streets over fears of deportation and such from bills like AZ 1070. Somehow, it’s just not the same thing. The ‘fear factor’ doesn’t tend to come into play as much — just something to think about.
We’ll still be stocking up again on ammo — can’t hurt!!!

Yes! It’s similar here in L.A. — Mexicans have taken over many many areas and by sheer numbers, they rule. They fight dirty and blacks tend to be very afraid of them. Mexicans HATE blacks while they don’t mind us white folk too much, all things considered. Blacks took off from their neighborhoods years ago to outlying areas when Mexicans moved in on them. Alas, those blacks in large part bought homes they could NOT afford and, when tossed out by the banks, trashed the homes and now they sit, empty and often damaged and sold at auction.
A friend teaches at L.A. Unified, grade school — central city — in 15 years it’s gone from 75% Mexican to about 95% Mexican with few blacks left. But despite that, the black kids won’t ever sit still, don’t pay attention, get into fights, etc. The others do, too, but not to quite the same extent.
We are in for a real siege in the cities — I’m going out tomorrow for more ammo, just in case.............

Your portrayal sounds pretty accurate to me, since we’ve got similar situations here in So Cal. I would not call Mexicans lazy — far from it — and when you see them coming on the sidewalk you don’t automatically have that urge to clutch your wallet closer. Not that they are not involved in crime, they are, but there isn’t that ‘hate whitey’ stuff we see so much from the blacks.

I understand your trepidation at being called a racist. However, as someone who has been totally aware of that word since my childhood in Mississippi during the civil rights era...and as someone who is now witnessing that word being thrown around for no reason other than to shut others up...you should not be afraid to speak your mind, unless you are truly a racist.
The lines were blurred for a very long time. But, every time the race card is used to shut people up, it’s been diminished to the point where, sadly, that word doesn’t have much meaning.
They have cried wolf once...or a thousand...times too often.
I think, and hope, that at some time in the future, the subject of race won’t be used to beat people over the head.
BTW, I’ve been called a racist on this forum. While I didn’t think it was warrented, I did recognize that it was from some people who possibly didn’t know me. So, I posted back and explained my thoughts. I will say this, though...calling me that name was an attempt to shut me down.
You won’t be banned unless you say something so outrageous that there is no possiblity for you to be misunderstood.
