Sen. Schumer: ‘Sour’ electorate reluctant to give Dems credit (No, Kidding???)

Sour” voters reluctant to award Democrats for their legislative success are one of the reasons the party is trailing in the polls, according to Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).

But Senate leaders will keep trying to change that with a jobs-based September agenda, the Senate Democratic Conference vice chairman said Thursday. Asked why the Democrats are still expected to lose seats in November after passing major bills like healthcare reform, credit card reform, a fair-pay act and Wall Street reform, Schumer said voters are frustrated and don’t feel the effects of the legislation.

“It’s the world we’re in. It’s a much more negative, critical world, and people are sour now,” he said. “The thing they’re most sour about is the future, not the present. In other words, if people were sure that things would be better five years from now, they’d be less sour.

“Given that, I think people are more negative right now across the board — the right wing is more negative, the left wing is more negative, the center is more negative. That’s how it is.”

Jobs and an improving economy are a major campaign issue for the Democrats. The White House has joined in on the effort, emphasizing a “recovery summer” agenda designed to reassure voters about the economy.

That effort may not be paying off, however. A NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll out Thursday found that 60 percent of those polled believe Congress is either below average or among the worst in history, which is an all-time high. Plus, 64 percent think the economy hasn’t hit rock bottom yet.

Chuck - you guys are really lucky if you were being given full credit for what you have done - you’d all be out on your fannies.

As I pointed out the other day Science has reported that people who use botox end up paralyzing several brow muscles that they need to emulate facial expressions on others related to ANGER so that they can do an internal evaluation.

In short, if you no longer recognize the signs of ANGER in the faces of the constituents whose necks you are standing on, you probably think they're happy with what you and your smarmy buddies are doing to them.

I'm guessing that nearly 95% of current Democrat politicians and almost 100% of MSM types are using Botox and have deadened their ability to detect anger.

They will express surprise and shock on election eve about what's happening to them, but boy will they be startled come January when we round them all up for a mass hanging!

"Sour” voters reluctant to award wanting to punish Democrats for their legislative success "up yours" approach are one of the reasons the party is trailing in the polls, according to Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).

There, fixed it for ya, Chuckie.

He is wrong. We are giving the Democrats credit. Credit for taking a weak economy and doing everything they can to utterly destroy it. Credit for taking an already unimaginably large debt and doing everything they can to more than double it. Credit for destroying our culture and traditions and outright hostility to the will of the people.

Senator Chucky Schumer is a perfect example of the totally out-of-touch liberal, today. They use their political power to ram unwanted, destructive policies into law and when, inevitably, everything goes wrong, they blame the people for not appreciating their largess. The political divide in America today couldn't be wider and Schumer's idiotic remarks are a clear demonstration of that. I can't wait until November 2nd to signal my recognition of all the things the Democrats have 'accomplished' - by voting them out of power - and not a moment too soon.

Oh, I give them credit alright. Credit for continuing high unemployment. Credit for record deficits. Credit for record spending. Credit for unprecedented assaults on the Constitution. Credit for lying-to and insulting the intelligence of the American people. Credit for failing to secure our borders and provide National Security. Credit for the kind of dirty politics and payoffs that give politicians a bad name. Credit for alienating our allies and emboldening our enemies. Credit for idiotic ROE that is killing US military personnel at a rate never before seen in Afghanistan. Credit for wearing out the race card. (maybe not such a bad thing, it isn't needed)

Don't think I don't give "liberal" 'rats credit for all they are due.

I’ll give the Dems all the credit they want and then some - for creating the mess we’re in and implementing “fixes” that made the situation even worse.

I give the Dems full credit for the trillion dollar plus deficit and for bankrupting this country in the name of socialism. What is Chuckie talking about?

Dear Chuck, you spent the last year and a half socializing healthcare and borrowing a trillion dollars from China.

Why wouldn't the tax payer want to putt a foot up your butt? He would be a moron if he didn't.

Sen. Schumer: ‘Sour’ electorate reluctant to give Dems credit

As usual, Chuck U Schumer is wrong!! I give the Dems PLENTY of credit . . . . . . for spending America into insolvency; for astronomical tax increases coming next year; for passing legislation that the majority of Americans didn't want . . . .

No, Chucky, I think the Dems are getting credit where credit is due.

Dear Senator Schumer:
The Dems WILL be given credit, just not in the way you meant.

Sincerely,
Member of the “chattering class”

But they are giving them credit for: record unemployment, record deficits, little or no economic growth, bad foreign policy decisions, and on and on.

The problem is that Dems are getting credit for what they have actually done, Schmuckie.
