President Obama has "no regrets" about his comments in support of a planned Islamic center near Ground Zero - words that touched off a national political firestorm.
The commander in chief doubled-down on his support of the controversial prayer and community center two blocks from Ground Zero while stumping Wednesday at a townhall-style meeting on the in economy in Ohio.
"The answer is - no regrets," he responded to an inquisitive reporter.
Earlier Wednesday, a published statewide poll suggested most New Yorkers oppose Park51 even though they believe the project is protected by the Constitution.

He always has. This is what I simply never understood about his campaigning before the election. It was quite clear that he *adapted* to each audience.

That 63% is for New York, not nationwide...New York is not exactly a bastion of conservatism or “right wing extremists.”
With Pelosi weighing in calling for people to be placed under investigation, they just keep fanning the flames - themselves! Pelosi’s comment creates another issue on top of this issue.
He sure seems to have the mohammedan vote in his pocket on this issue.
