In pictures: Washington conservative rally
Apparently this photo was shot by a BBC photographer from atop the Washington Monument.

Oops. Slideshow at link.
I guess Beck gets the 8 PM slot, Bill O’Reilly said if he got 100k he would let him have it
What a great way to celebrate both America and the legacy of MLK.
Kudos to Beck, Sarah Palin and the cousin of MLK and to all who showed up to show their support for our great country!
Good pix. I think we could have done without that old blond applying her lipgloss, though.
You are joking, right?
After you run that thru the MSM Tea Party Crown estimator, they will but the attendance between 1,000 and 2,000 people.
The largest collection of racists in one place since the mass Ku Klux Klan rallies in Washington in the 1920s! Most of ‘em prolly even like capitalism! When are we gonna wake up and support Brother Barack?
GREAT pictures..Thank you!
Pinging a few to see these large photos
And the large open area to the right was half full of people when I walked through there around 1100.
Picture’s a fraud.
Besides: Sharpton had more people in a nearby DC high school football field, according to Washington Post.
WOW! (And I just found a new tag line.)
Correction to tag line.
I saw that too! Really liked it - hope there’s a bumper sticker out there soon.
So much bitterness! So much clinging! I wish I’d been there!
OK sorry for the mistake.
I’m sorry to have missed this one.
Thank you, sweet (((MEG33)))
Great large pics!
"An estimated 87,000 people attended a rally organized by talk-radio host and Fox News commentator Glenn Beck Saturday in Washington, according to a crowd estimate commissioned by CBS News."One wonders why CBS would "commission" a crowd estimate of Beck's rally. While their numbers-challenged stooges were there, did they tote up Sharpton's numbers, as well?
This picture is not a snapshot- It’s time-lapse photography. It looks like a large crowd when it was only a few people moving around over a period of time. It’s actually easy to spot if you can see the blurry tree off to the upper left- The one by the Grassy Knoll!
Washington never wrote or said that. It’s a bogus quote. Not that I disagree with the sentiment, but it isn’t Washington’s.
The local news here ran the two events as an equal side-by-side, never mentioning the crowd numbers or showing a shot of the crowd.
BIG Pictures here!

The pics are GREAT. Unfortunately......’Auntie Beeb’ is her usual self in the captions.
Back in 1996 we at FR had a March for Justice to Impeach Clinton (hint: he was). CNN lied about our numbers, and claimed a counter-counter rally held to support Bubba was larger. Of course, it wasn’t. But that was one of the first times I saw with my own eyes what liars the media could be. And I haven’t looked back since. LOL
My goodness, did you read the captions under the pictures? Talk about media bias!
The American media's narrative is that only a few cranks would actually come out for such a rally.
LOL! That was funny. I’m sure the photographer was just waiting for something goofy like that.
The rats won't know what is going to hit them in November. For every one that was there, there are a 500 in spirit!
Bingo! I lived in the UK. Jerry Springer is VERY popular over there. You can only imagine the comments I received. I was in a maternity ward after out child was born where the mother of a new mother next to me heard my accent and said to her: “Watch it love. Them Yanks are crazy and might steal your baby. You’d better check the security.”
You win the bet. I only saw one trach can, it was a municipal one and was overflowing. I also say a pile of about 6-8 trash bags and sawy people picking up the couple water bottles that fell out. Besides that, zero trash.
"The speaker list was diverse, including African Americans, Latinos and Native Americans; Jews and Christians; clergymen, military veterans and sports stars, including Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals. The crowd, however, was overwhelmingly white."
Wait a cotton-pickin' minute.
Isn't that exactly the same number they used for the 9/12 march?
RE: 9/12 "The Washington Metro reported 87,000 extra riders that day as compared to the average ridership."
Yep. They make it up as they go along.
This one is my favorite:
Tens of thousands of people have attended a rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, which organisers say is aimed at staging a political tribute to traditional American values.
I call BS on that. Not one organizer said that. They specifically said it was not political (thus no signs).
That’s something to behold. Wow!
I was at the rally today. I arrived at 7:30am and by that time, both sides of the Reflecting Pool were filled. I was located at the opposite end of the Reflecting Pool, from the stage, right in the center.
From 7:30am-10:00am, as I looked back at the Washington monument, it was a steady stream of people, at least 5 wide, on the sidewalks. These people filled the spaces under the trees on both sides, as well as the areas beyond the trees, to the left and right side.
Once these areas were filled, people started to fill the Washington monument grassy area. This was still going on, after the event started. As the event continued, the area around the Washington monument, was still filling with people.
The overhead picture by the BBC does not even show the full extent of the people there. I would bet my life, that there were, at least, 500,000 people there, if not, 750,000.
Beck mentioned that both sides of the Reflecting Pool held 200,000 people, the two areas next to Lincoln’s Memorial, which were packed, held another 150,000 or 250,000, don’t quite remember that number. These numbers do not include the people under the trees and to the left and right of them, and the people on the Washington monument area.
It was a great time and am glad I was able to attend. For those wondering if we continued our habit of keeping the area clean, we did just that. Only a couple of water bottle caps, misc. paper, and worn out grass. The trash cans were overflowing but the items around them were in bags and neat.
There were no signs, except flags. People were patient, understanding, and courteous, even with the heat and congestion. The security personnel, had an easy day.
You are joking, right?
No joke, O’Reilly and Beck made a bet, O’Reilly said 10,000 to 20,000 and bet said 100,000. Bill O said if you get that much you should have the 8 o’clock slot...............time will tell
Oh my, what WONDERFUL shots!! Thank you so very much!!
Sorry, Red. You may not have wanted there to be that many people there, but there were!
See post #46 by Ez2BRepub - who was there today......
I want to see a photo post-crowds to see how clean the patriots left it so we can compare it to the inagural trashy slobs
