Obama: The people at Beck’s rally are filled with anxiety
hotair.com ^ | 8-30-10 | Allahpundit

Posted on 08/30/2010 5:18:13 PM PDT by Justaham

"I — I do think that it’s important for us to recognize that right now, the country’s going through a very difficult time, as a consequence of years of neglect in a whole range of areas. Our schools not working the way they need to, so we’ve slipped in terms of the number of college graduates, you know?

A financial system that was not, you know, operating in a way that maintained integrity and assured that the people who were investing or who were buying a home or were using a credit card weren’t getting in some way cheated. We had a health care system that was broken and that was bankrupting families and businesses. All those issues are big, tough, difficult issues. And those are just our domestic issues. That’s before we get to policy issues in two wars. And a continuing battle against terrorists who want to do us harm.

So, given all those anxieties — and given the fact that, you know, in none of these situations are you going to be fix things overnight. It’s not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country. That’s been true throughout our history. What I’m focused on is making sure that the decisions we’re making now are going to be be not good for the nightly news. Not good even necessarily for the next election. But are good for the next generation. And I’m very confident that those decisions are the ones that we’ve made."

And given the fact that your stupid administration has totally trashed our economy, and ripped or constitution to shreds, anxiety has reached a high point, one that will see your a** out of office in 2012. Can’t wait.

Apparently the rally might as well have been in “Austrian” for all the understanding Obozo seems to have of the event.

Obama would make a “D” level poster here.

I agree that we should get rid of the “D” grade though. He’s just not “pass” material.

Throwing him out in 2012 is only half the battle. Electing someone with the intestinal fortitude to fire all the bureaucrats he hired and sign repeals of all his legislation will be the more difficult half.

Michael Savage today observes that Obama did respond when he was asked whether he watched the rally.

He said he didn’t and then gave a standard — “I’m glad that people are exercising their freedom of speech” remark.

In other words, he’s not interested in the concerns of hundreds of thousands (perhaps a million) Americans.

But then he has the time to wade in to the matter of the ground zero mosque when a handful of Muslims are agitating for it.

Talk about where his priorities lie...

One good session of congress ought to be all it takes to undue this disaster of a presidency.

And BO will remain a larger than life reformer only in his own mind. Where he should be.

People who are anxious about their financial situation, ie. mortgage, job, college tuition for their kids, etal, do NOT spend their hard-earned on a trip to Washington just to see Glenn Beck in person.

Out of touch, out of his mind is 0bama.

That's exactly what restoring honor is all about. We have to restor honor in ourselves, in our communities, in our government and in our entire society.

If Obama were wise, he would have used it as an opportunity to unite people and encourage folks to stand up for Faith, Honor and Charity.
He would have said it is a wonderful thing to Honor our men and woman in the military....but did the man who ran for office as someone who wanted to unite the 2 parties do that...NO
Small...very very small of him

Oh, so now it takes an entire generation for policy decisions to make a real impact. Bush’s destruction was so insiduous, so calculated, so diabolical it will now take the anointed one who was able to stop the ocean’s rise with nothing more than his nomination, an entire generation to reverse.

What a sandbagging poon.

A Mr. Beck stirring up things???

What a jerk.
Mr. Beck only vocalized what is already in many hundreds of thousands, or better yet millions of hearts across America.

I can remember to this day when Barry and I made eye contact he could not look away fast enough, my facial gesture must have been speaking volumes (per usual and no I don’t play poker).

BTW anyone else notice Mr. Beck wearing a kevlar in DC Saturday?

Now that we know you DID watch the rally, Mr. President, you liar, you said you didn't. (we knew you did)

Now that we know, what you saw was not Anxiety, it was RESOLVE.

That rally just gave you reason to be anxious, we are resolved to work together and see that your ILK is ousted and you neutered in November and we will finish the job in 2012. Stock up on Prozac, Mr. President, your going to need it.

MLK had a dream, you just saw that dream fulfilled Saturday, and we are marching forward together, people of all races, and all faiths. Onward Christian Soldiers.

To call us Anxious, you were merely telling us how you feel. You are the one that is ANXIOUS now, you see it coming. There is nothing you can do about it.

What a condescending statement! I think the Progressives want the people to feel anxious. After all, everything this administration has done has been aimed at bringing down the country. His observation was pure wishful thinking. I didn’t see any “anxious” faces among those shown on TV today of the Rally. I saw clean cut people with hope and concern. Not anxiety but dedication to do what it takes to restore our amazing country. For every one of those 500,000 who attended the rally, 300 to 600 or more could not be there, but feel and think as they do.

Good point.

The very favorite from his Whine Hit Parade is "the previous 8 years", or "the previous administration".

If it takes so long to "turn this great ship of state" as BiteMe recently put it, how could the previous 8 years have had such an impact?

Does not compute.

But then, nothing this Administration says of does makes sense except in their diabolical scheme to destroy America.
