Well, actually, I don’t have a problem with ANY of that.

He DID do some good as President, even if it was in spite of himself at times.

The problem is all the OTHER stuff - massive spending, failure to stop the invasion from Mexico, treatment of border security guards, pandering to Mexico, some absolutely horrific appointments, etc.

Thank you!

Do you hear much of the troops' thoughts on BHO?

Oh, yeah....I work with 'em. I'm the only civilian in our group.

Let's just say that whether or not the votes from here get counted in November, they are going to go overwhelmingly "Tea-Party-ish" from this area.

Overwhelmingly.

Complete lie and utter pandering condescension. Kill ya to even concede that?

Oh, I forgot ... you're THE one perfect, faultless human being on earth. Anyone in your circle describe you as being free of any human frailties and flaws ?

And that's why BDS is pathological and deranged. It renders the poor soul incapable of logically and rationally accommodating

BEING BUT A MERE MORTAL HUMAN BEING LIKE ALL OF US, PRIORITIES & PERSPECTIVE !

You've made my point quite well. Thank you, and good-bye.

*snip*

“It’s frustrating to see both the president and vice president jumping up and down saying, ‘Look what we did, look what we did,’ when if we actually followed the policies they were calling for ... we would have left early and we would have left in shame,” Mr. Hegseth said, noting their opposition to the surge of forces in Iraq.

Mr. Hegseth said he has spoken with troops who are particularly annoyed by the administration’s move to de-emphasize the radical Islamic dimension of the terrorist threat in favor of the term “extremist,” and he described the July 2011 timeline for withdrawal in Afghanistan as an “albatross around the neck of our soldiers.”

However, he said, Mr. Obama has made “a lot of really good decisions” about personnel and stepping up drone attacks.

*snip*

But among troops, data show, he’s still struggling to win them over.

A Military Times poll conducted early this year found that 31 percent of subscribers to the publication approved of his job as commander in chief, while 53 percent disapproved. Those findings were similar to Military Times poll taken in December 2008, just before Mr. Obama was inaugurated, and found that 32 percent were “optimistic” about Mr. Obama as their commander in chief, while 30 percent were pessimistic and 35 percent were uncertain.

Given that the military is “a fairly conservative lot,” Mr. Obama inevitably faced an uphill battle in winning over many of the rank and file, Mr. Eaton said.

Well, no.

Its actually MORE a case of BES than BDS - Bush ESTRANGEMENT Syndrome rather than Bush Derangement Syndrome.

I didn’t vote for him in the first primary. I still had a bad taste in my mouth from his father. I voted for him in the general election first time around and second time around.

His first term was great - to a degree.

His second term a catastrophy.

Think about this. Polls CONSISTENTLY demonstrate that the MAJORITY of Americans on MOST issues poll right of Center.

The GOP consistently runs for office from that position. But once they get ELECTED, they feel they have some “need” to accomodate Democrats and start slipping to the left on social and fiscal issues, losing the support that put them in office in the first place in an effort to reach out to the people who hate them.

If the polling about American really being a center-right Country is true, and I believe it IS, WHY did Obama get elected???

Put aside the OBVIOUS - ACORN, typical Democrat media lies and election fraud - still a great number of otherwise intelligent Americans elected a Marxist Muslim of unknown background and qualifications to office. FURTHER, just TWO YEARS BEFORE, they voted the very party most philosophically aligned with that kind of Marxist Candidate into control of Congress.

Was this mass hysteria or hypnosis?

Or was it due to the failure of the GOP controlled Congress AND President - to deliver to its base on many significant policy issues?

Is there a message here? Can the GOP learn from its mistakes?

Time will tell.

The voters are sick of Obama and the Pelosi/Reid Congress. But will the GOP be able to step up to the bat and offer and FOLLOW THROUGH on its philosophical alternatives?
Or will it, as before, collapse in the face of Democrat pressure?

Perfect ...

And through it all, Pres. Bush never
sunk to the sewer level of all his
masses of detractors and BDS-infected
pols, press and twisted FReepers. And
he never will. He’s a man of decency who
walks the talk.

It literally nauseates me that this usurper/Marxist/punk/moron is going to take credit for the success that he opposed every step of the way, and dares to call the PRESIDENT and COMMANDER IN CHIEF, who made it happen in spite of the opposition of the left and the cowardice of Republicans.

I don't know how I could possibly be more angry at Obama, but this speech tonight is the work of a bottom dweller, and I'm not feeling very Christian right now......

Not only a nasty comment, but utterly stupid.

How can you tell a Bush hater on the right from a Bush hater on the far left???

It's usually hard, but ZULU just made it impossible. Emotional ignorance is painful to observe, STARWISE....

Hating George W. Bush is not a requirement for being a "genuine conservative."

It's only an indication of a lack of ability to judge character, and an anger that makes one's mind go mushy.

There's nothing genuinely conservative about being bitter. This you should learn.

Wolfstar just nailed you to the wall. If you were wise, you'd pull yourself off and go into hiding for a while.

And you didn't even mention that he was the most consistent and fervent pro-life President we have ever had.

You have to work hard as a conservative to hate this man.

The fact that some do is obvious. The reason for it (assuming there is one) is not as clear.

Coming on a thread regarding the evil Obama, and the honorable George W. Bush, and feeling the need to attack the man of honor is bewildering.

(And he wonders why most conservatives see him as a troll. DUhhhhh...)

Ohio: Bush 50, Obama 42

We’ll start rolling out our Ohio poll results tomorrow but there’s one finding on the poll that pretty much sums it up:

by a 50-42 margin voters there say they’d rather have George W. Bush in the White House right now than Barack Obama.

Independents hold that view by a 44-37 margin and there are more Democrats who would take Bush back (11%) than there are Republicans who think Obama’s preferable (3%.)
