sounds like he should have taken wood working instead of electricity
He probably would have cut his finger or hand off on a dare...you know its hard to tell how powerful band and table saws are..
Some people can learn by reading books...
Some people can learn by watching others...
But some people just have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

A lot of the things that Ben Franklin did in his day will get you killed today... Including STDs...

Kyle listening to too much Frank Zappa.
I know this is humorous, but... While computers generally run DC voltages of 5v (or 3.3v or 12v) bad things can still happen. I learned the hard way that when you see an electrical engineer with a screwdriver, RUN AWAY!
I was installing a computer network at a packaging firm, and they had one of their EEs wiring up the cubicles. Well, this guy managed to wire a hot ground! When I reached behind the computer to connect the BNC-T connector to the thinnet bus, my wrist contacted the chassis (using the hand-in-pocket rule, from habit) and I got one hell of a burn, and the thinnet cable was ruined at the T connector.

When it comes to 9V "transistor" batteries, who doesn't do that?

I only do it if I don't happen to have a meter handy, and I want to see if the battery is dead.

I probably would have sentenced the parents and their lawyer to a punishment similar to the episode they were suing over...

I don’t..anymore...
I was working on a dryer plug in a rental house. Killed the whole breaker panel. Thought it would be wise to test the circuit before I replaced the outlet. Dropped a screwdriver across the terminals. (Apparently, this circuit came thru a different panel outside.)
I squealed like a little school girl at a Miley Cyrus Concert. (Wrecked the screwdriver, too.)
I bet Kelly voted for hope & change too! Probably believes we can TAX our way into prosperity too.
Back in 1970, I was working in the Avionics lab at the air rework facility at MCAS Cherry Point, when I accidentally laid the palm of my hand across a 400 VDC power supply. I picked myself up off the deck 8-10 feet away. Also learned real quick that the big, black high voltage rubber gloves were a real GREAT invention!
Dude I would hare wet my pants. I was under a sink last week putting in a new faucet it was real wet they had a power strip under there that was on, all off a sudden my shoulder starts to tingle and not in a good way I reached over with the basin wrench and just barely reached the plug to pull it from the wall
