Very good points. But you left out the Internet, which, added to Fox and AM talk radio has totally broken the hammerlock the libs had on the media.

They can no longer run, they can no longer hide. The Internet is especially noteworthy because while individually, one citizen may not know very much, collectively in forums such as Free Republic, the collective brainpower and knowledge is absolutely staggering. And WE ARE ALWAYS WATCHING.

We have assumed the role of critical observers that the Founders had assigned the the media. We had to. The MSM has been totally compromised by its ideological agenda and its instincts to suppress anything that hindered that agenda.

And the RINOs are on notice as well. Murkowski proves that.

Actually, you're both right in a sense.

Women voted for Obama in droves. They believed the drivel that he would unite the nation.

White men and women voted for Obama because they believed the media, that GWB had been a disaster. Look at today's polls that wish GWB was back. This validates Ann Coulter's point, that voters spend more time weighing choices about the car they buy versus the President they elect.

Whites, both male and female, basically moderates and independents, voted for BHO to expiate their final feeeeeelings of guilt over racism. That explains why he won Ohio, Colorado, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania.

They're over it now. We've proven as a nation that we will elect a black man. Now those moderates will throw BHO's leftist agenda out on its ear.

They turned left, got strident, self-righteous, and absolutely poisonous to anyone who disagreed. They were not checked, but abetted by media who sympathized with their more sensational - meaning radical - aims. They acted like a conquering army and are now being treated as an occupying army. Their anger toward the right is the anger of children toward others who won't share their game of make-believe.

It is idiotic for a group whose signal characteristic is a common hatred to wonder why they aren't popular among the people they hate. "Don't those stupid redneck bigots realize that we were right all along?" is not a step toward comity, it's a step toward continued and comfortable ignorance.
