NEW YORK, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A female jail captain at New York's Rikers Island is being questioned for allegedly giving rapper Lil Wayne preferential treatment, officials say.
Capt. Latanya Brown has been accused of spending extra time with Wayne and allowing him to remain in his cell while other inmates are sent to the facility's recreation yard, the New York Post said Sunday.
An unnamed source at the jail said the department has a zero-tolerance policy for officers who give special treatment to inmates. Brown was not available for comment, the newspaper said.
The rap star was sentenced to a year in jail after authorities found a weapon on his tour bus. The sentencing was part of a plea deal attorneys reached with prosecutors last November regarding his 2007 arrest after a gun was found in his tour bus.
Wayne could be released by October.
Such an intelligent sensitive face. This is truly a man of discernment and deep understanding.
While Lil’ Wayne is in jail, he’s perfecting his understanding of the Italian sonnet, I heard.
What a piece of garbage !
Heck ya!!!! Lillipop is my fav song ever! For some reason..
Sounds like Latanya has a crush, big deal.. on with life.
But what I want to really know is what these cops were doing in his private property anyways? His tour bus in which they “found” a gun.
Okay. I stand conrected. The word wanna be is hereby deleted. Does show that there are more than a million people with no taste.
