Skip to comments.A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin
The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
I can't help but notice the PEACE he exhudes these days. Peace in Christ, peace in his continued obedience to God's call, peace with Laura and with his family......
It's all GOOD! :)
(Thanks for posting that link for us to enjoy!)
Wow, that is so impressive! What an honor to have your question answered by the President! You must have been jumping up for joy! Congratulations and thank you for posting it here jlyspio!

You’re very welcome, glad you enjoyed the photos!
Check out this fantastic video of President Bush and his family in Africa that was just posted last night. Its a montage of the places and people theyve visited and met. Very powerful and moving. Please take a moment to watch:
“Africa Trip Highlights 2011”
And even the YouTube Comments were mostly positive.
A true role model...A family...How it works and why it works.
Wishing all of you Dosers and Bush fans a Merry Christmas and Happy Year!
Wow, what a year it was for so many great stories and photos on our dear President and his wife that have been posted here.
Though it hasnt always been easy to dig up those good stories and pics, patience and persistence always paid off in the end and it was well worth it on your part and mine.
Thank you for your continued support and loyal devotion to the Dose. It is alive and well and will not go away anytime soon despite some on FR want it to be!
God Bless President and Mrs. Bush. Their love for this country, support for the troops and commitment to help others around the world is admirable and lovely. We will always appreciate their service for our country and acts of kindness.
Beautiful picture of our favorite president and his lovely wife, patty! You do a great job of finding news of their comings and goings!
Your Dose pings sure make me smile. Happy news is always welcome! :)
Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours!
THANK you for posting it, and a Merry Christmas, one day late to you too, and to all my dear friends on the DOSE!
Thank you so much, Patty!
Belated Happy Christmas and best wishes for the new year to all of you
Hi Snugs! Happy New Year to you too! Hope you can check in here at the Dose whenever possible! We miss you so much!
Happy New Year to all of you wonderful ‘Dosers’! May 2012 be filled with happiness and good health for each of you and your families. And, thank you, all, for keeping this forum alive and for all the wonderful pictures and stories about our great President Bush and his beautiful family.
The same to you, plus good luck and health and much prosperity
Thank you! I just hope we get a new president! :)
I don’t see how, but God help this country if he is
Thank you, snugs. I sure hope that “conventional wisdom” is wrong this time. Our poor country can’t stand 4 more years of a guy who actually hates us. :(
Ditto. Let’s pray that this November will be the end of a nightmarish era. America is hanging by a thread and it’s up to us to save it from falling off a cliff!
Amen to that! I don’t know how much more our ship of state can endure! :(
Awww... That picture/white doggies is so cute; blinking eyes even!
Happy New Year to you, to yours, and to all on this page!
Oh, and God Bless!
Heres Pres. George HW Bush, and Barbara and their granddaughter Gigi behind the steering wheel of a golf cart, riding on the Gasparilla Inn grounds on Wednesday, Dec 28th.
Thats Neil Bush (Ws brother) in the center with his daughters Ashley on the left and Lauren on the right posing in front of the sunset later that same evening!

Barbara and Jenna also leave the Gasparilla Inn to go home.

Later in the evening, GW and Laura threw a New Years Eve party on the Gasparilla
Inn property complete with a live band and fireworks in the sky!
President Bush posing with some very lucky guests!
*By the way, GWB and Laura will remain in Florida for the next week or so.
Wish I had known. I would have dropped in and given him my warm New Year Wishes! :-)
Wonderful to see you and your dad. Happy New Year, dear friend.
Happy New Year everyone.
Thank you very much!
Awesome pictures! Thank you soooooo much! Can’t get enough of the man!
Patty ... great work as always. Thanks for the ping and the post. nice to see the family
Happy New Year!
Snugs, not sure you are getting the pings.. NOTE POST 2529
It will be up to you to dig out some Cheney info/pix!
Thanks once again, Patty, for letting us get a lift from seeing this grand family. I’m so glad they are vacationing, relaxing and enjoying their lives again.
Thank you, Patty, for the work you do to bring us smiles! I adore them!
Thank you snugs, for posting these pictures. They looked so good and healthy! Mrs. Cheney never is seen in public. Don’t remember seeing her in several years. Do you think her health is okay? I just have wondered why she’s never in public anymore.
Nice picture of your dad.
Starting the year off right! :)
Gee ML...that would have been a great story to share! :)
I never met Dubya, but I DID get to HUG Lt. Col. Allen West in 105 degree sunshine.
Thanks for the great photos. Happy New Year to all the Dosers!!
He is a good man and I hope he and his dear wife are enjoying their retirement
Hi! How are you doing these days? Did you or anyone else see where Lauren Bush got married to Ralph Lauren’s son? I posted it on here, but I’m not sure if anyone saw it. I didn’t get an answer. She got married in Colorado, on a ranch. The wedding had a wild-west theme!
George and Laura were there w/their daughters, and some other relatives. The elderly Bushs were not able to be there, because of the altitude where the property was. Their health was so that the high altitude wouldn’t have been good for them!
I have found some news of her she has been named 2012 Citizen of the West. See link below
Oh, thank you snugs, for sending me this article. Its strange how she has popped into my mind over the past few years and since I hadn’t seen her in such a long time, I had been concerned about her.
I guess she was tired of the spotlight after so many years of political life. Can’t say I blame her and I know from the article that she wastes no time. She’s doing quality things. She was a special lady!
Hope things are going well with you and your Dad! ((HUGS))
snugs, good to ‘see’ you again!! Thanks for the pics of the Cheney’s and the link to the story on Mrs. Cheney!
Hope you are well and hope your Dad’s health is good. I wish you, both, a happy and, especially, a healthy 2012!
pattyvita, THANK YOU for these wonderful, recent pictures of the Bush family! Wish I was at the Gasparilla Inn when W so graciously took pictures with the guests at the Inn!
My pleasure, everyone. It’s all in a week’s worth of researching and digging up those cool photos. The Bushes look fabulous don’t they? Tanned and rested! So stay tuned to see more photos of Pres. Bush and the family in the coming weeks and months! :)
