Amid flaring political debate about a proposed New York City mosque near Ground Zero, there has been little commotion about the Pentagon's chapel where Muslims can gather in daily prayer near where a hijacked jetliner struck the building Sept. 11, 2001.

While the political debate grows over the propriety of building a mosque near New York's Ground... While the political debate grows over the propriety of building a mosque near New York's Ground Zero, there is no debate at the Pentagon's Ground Zero, where Muslims can gather in daily prayer in a religious chapel located near where a hijacked jetliner struck the building Sept. 11. (ABC News) More PhotosSometimes misidentified as the "Pentagon Mosque," the non-denominational Pentagon Memorial Chapel maintained by the Pentagon Chaplain's Office is where department employees who practice Islam can meet to pray.

Talk about “in your face” but of course this is a “interfaith” place of worship. Right inside the Pentagon.

No way, Rn. Haven’t you heard of separation of church and state? (Applies to Christians only.)

I don't know, are you gainfully employed at the Pentagon? If so, then yes, you could use the interfaith chapel just like they do, and as I have dozens of times.

“Talk about “in your face” but of course this is a “interfaith” place of worship. Right inside the Pentagon.”

Make no mistake. When the Muslims are in the Pentagon “chapel,” it is no longer an “interfaith” place of worship, it is a mosque.

This is such a BS headline. The Pentagon, like virtually every other major command location in the US Armed Forces, provides and maintains an interfaith chapel. There is no “story” here. The chapel existed LONG before the 9/11 attacks, and clearly it will exist and operate LONG after the 9/11 attacks.

Another reason we’ll never win a war against Islam. We kowtow to the muslims too much. Islam is more a political idealogy than a religion.

Apples and oranges. An interfaith chapel and a mosque? C’mon. Don’t even try it.

When that church in Florida burns the Koran, I hope they do it on the anniversary of 9/11.

They are not burning it to insult Muslims, they are burning it to get Muslims upset at their own terrorist extremist elements.

We need to make moderate Muslims so mad that they will turn against the radical extremist terrorist elements in their midst.

I wonder if those who say the muslims “have a right” to build a mosque at ground zero will also say this church “has the right” to burn the koran. I don’t have to wonder. I know the answer.

If Muslims are so outraged by the prospect of a church in Florida burning a Koran symbolically then what about when these terrorists burn the American flag; what about when these terrorists bomb Jewish synagogues; what about when these far left extremists desecrate Christian churches by their obnoxious godless behavior when they disrupt services...

It would be durn good if there were protests at the Pentagon re the Muslim services there. Maybe Franklin Graham could be invited to give a speech.
