What did Penn Jillete do with a Bible?

I knew about this:

Penn & Teller ridicule Christ’s crucifixion
WorldNetDaily ^ | Posted: January 20, 2003 | unknown

The magic-comedy team of Penn & Teller has performed a stunt parodying the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, offending some attendees of a major magicians’ convention, reports columnist Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review.

The skit, performed last week in Las Vegas, included Teller, dressed as Christ on a full-size cross, entering the room on a cart. According to the column, a midget dressed as an angel “performed a simulated sex act on the near-naked Teller.” Penn, in a Roman gladiator costume, unveiled the scene by pulling away a “Shroud of Turin” that covered the cross.

The Nazis exterminated millions of people in order to have a master race dominate the world......this guy in Florida is burning paper.

And long before the Nazi's got into the exterminating business they were burning any books that conflicted with their ideology in organized book-burning ceremonies. This Pastor Jones may be more media whore than mass-murderer, but the analogy still fits.

“Actually, I believe the FEDS could come in and arrest him for being a NATIONAL SECURITY RISK.”

Do you understand what an absolute abrogation of our freedoms that would be???

Media whore? Could very well be...but the Nazi stuff is crap.

If anything, he’s standing up to the closest thing we have to Nazis today.

Call me when he chops his first head off...

It's not OK for some religous nut-job to burn Korans....

Yet it's OK for the US Military to burn Bibles?

I’m not saying I agree with what the Church is doing, you want to call them idiots, I don’t have a problem with that, they probably are.

My point is at the same time, we should never allow this to pass for a legitimate excuse for so-called Moderate Muslims to hate us even more, for the acts of some small church in Florida. If that is what puts them over the edge, I have to question just how “moderate” they are.

And by pointing out this event, all Obama and Petraeus did was to give them the publicity they desired, and made sure now that everybody in the Muslim world knew about it, whereas if they had kept their traps shut, it probably would have wound up being a fart in a windstorm, and few would have even noticed.

Folks, this is an example of someone being able to state something unchallenged.

If you have to deal with libs who make statements like this, gently but firmly demand that they define the terms they are using -

in this case “of WHAT exactly, are Muslims tolerant of?”

or, in other cases, “exactly what do you mean by ‘socially responsible’?”

What if they believe that book is written by Satan? It teaches that people are apes and pigs and teaches to kill and lie and treat women like dogs. I have to say that I think his point is actually very rational.

It is interesting to me how governments and military personnel are begging for “respect” for that book when the Bible is used for toilet paper, not only by muslims, but by our government who endorses it with taxpayer money.

List of government endorsed (taxpayer money) and respected actions:

Museums getting money to present works which promote images of crucifix in urine....dung and porn on the Virgin Mary.

Taxpayer money used for promotion of islam, even in foreign countries and taxpayer money for building of mosques.

Textbooks for children which demonizes Christianity and glorifies Muslims and Wicca.

Nonprofit status creating a speech straightjacket on all Christians and Jews, but with no effect on (marxist)Black Liberation theology churches.

NPR promotion of homoerotica which demonizes Christianity and orthodox Judaism.

Government endorsed “hate speech” which gives special protection and money for promotion to anti-Christian groups like homosexuals and muslims and La Raza and Black Panther groups but silences Christian speech.

Etc., etc., etc.

I just find the “outrage” so fake and so misplaced when we were a thoroughly Christian-Founded country and we allow extreme defilement of the Bible and Christianity every day in the media and schools. Interesting.....

It's nothing but an internet meme that "this will put them over the edge".

The presstitutes were using that exact same phrase regarding the protests against the Ground Zero mosque just last week.

Same excuse, different "controversy".

It sells well to followers of the UN, where Islamist nations believe that there need to be speech controls to prohibit blasphemy against Islam.

Someone else stated that they should announce that they aren’t actually going to do it,

but only announced that they were in order to expose the intolerance and extremism that IS Islam.

The man is not behaving like a Christian. He is behaving like a nazi.

I agree with your first position, but not the second. Burning a few books in protest against a religion of death and hatred is hardly comparable to the burning of millions of books in an effort to rid the Germans of all information that contradicted the politics of the Nazi party.
