How Obama Thinks (Best, most thorough article on Obama's pysche I have seen yet)

Obama Sr. was an economist, and in 1965 he published an important article in the East Africa Journal called "Problems Facing Our Socialism." Obama Sr. wasn't a doctrinaire socialist; rather, he saw state appropriation of wealth as a necessary means to achieve the anticolonial objective of taking resources away from the foreign looters and restoring them to the people of Africa. For Obama Sr. this was an issue of national autonomy. "Is it the African who owns this country? If he does, then why should he not control the economic means of growth in this country?"

As he put it, "We need to eliminate power structures that have been built through excessive accumulation so that not only a few individuals shall control a vast magnitude of resources as is the case now." The senior Obama proposed that the state confiscate private land and raise taxes with no upper limit. In fact, he insisted that "theoretically there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed

That is what post modernism, revisionist history and social justice are all about. It is what the One world government, UN Agenda 21, The Third Way, open borders, cap and trade and global warming were all about, too.

This is what is being taught at our colleges and universities across the country. They have developed a language to describe everything involved with post modernist thought that the meanings are so obscure as to open to interpretation. Like Clinton’s remark, “that depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.” Much of it must have been dreamed up by Noam Chomsky. They pride themselves on being able to converse with each other and deride outsiders as uninformed rubes.

Soothesayer, there IS hope: partly because the millions of lunatics who voted for Obama constitute a river that's a mile wide but an inch deep. There's millions of them that won't even vote this November. They're shallow, period.

Obama was their chia head, their political hula hoop, their fad. They will not continue to uphold him, because that's tiring, dude, they want to go back to the sofa and have some more cheez doodles. They do not add up to a lasting political force, they are not Brown Shirts or Hitler Youth or the Komsomol or anything like it, because they have neither political drive nor discipline --- and Zero knows it.

Read the tagline.

"Leftists just need to be put to death before they destroy any more lives."

You shouldn't talk that way: it is morally depraved to speak of "putting to death" such a broad swath of people, as if we had the authority of the Archangels of Armageddon when we are, in fact, just fellow fallible human beings and sinners ourselves.

Sooth, we can hand the Leftists a solid political defeat. Beyond that, no malice. There's no need to indulge violent thoughts.

I don't think that in the end it matters who was "really" (genetically) his father.

He spent his youth with acute feelings of abandonment, was painfully detached from his white mother and white grandmother, came to think it was because of his black essence, then came to idealize his purported Kenyan father as the key to his true self, his true history, and his true destiny.

At that point --- not at the point of his conception --- this lost soul rejected the Barry Soetoro mask and became Barack Hussein Obama Jr.

Barack Senior filled the compelling social/psychological "role" of supplying Barry's lost blackness, lost masculinity, and lost identity--- even if the actual sperm donor turned out to be that pervert Davis.

As I see it.

Time is running out for the peaceful velvet revolution proposed here on FR and other conservative organizations. The last chance for free elections are 2010 and 2012.

If I have to choose between the annihilation of the leftists or seeing a generation of youths peddle on the street to survive...the choice is simple.

Wow. The power of the rather pathetic attempt of the abandoned child to undo the abandonment by dressing himself up in the too large and now outmoded intellectual clothing of the one who dumped him.

Barry, your father (if he really was your father) screwed you over and brought you into a life where you were repeatedly abandoned and shuttled between worlds just as you were becoming familiar with them (first Hawaii, then Indonesia, then back to Hawaii, then into the strange world of Planet Frank of the Ambered Shorts). Nothing you do will undo that. Stop trying to make everyone else as miserable as you are. They may not take to it any more kindly than you did. You serve at the will of the people. You fooled them into thinking you were something you were not so as to have enough power to put flesh on your father's dreams. I think once again you're going to feel the pain of getting dumped. This time, though, it will truly be your own fault; your dreams will wither away like the flesh on your dad's bones and the only thing people will feel is a sense of joy and relief at being out from under the control of your own personal demons.

I could not disagree with you more regarding the downside of term limits. Think Strom Thurmond, Robert Byrd, and Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas. And then there is the current batch of long term elected reps and senators. McCain and Castle, 70 something, still hanging on and neither a reliable Rep vote. Term limits are needed for as long as it takes to clean our bureaucratic house and are the only solution to the corruption of earmarks, favorable legislation in exchange for votes, etc. etc. The power of incumbency is well known and exists for a reason. It acts to keep an incumbent in and a replacement out. The key to good government is of course to elect good people who will represent the citizens who have voted for them. Eight years limit for President has worked since Roosevelt overstayed his welcome and can be good for every other govt office. No more life time appointments for any other govt paid office either. The idea that these lifetime assignments would stop corruption from various sources, money, threats, politics, partiality to particular interests etc. has not worked. Stop the entitlement mentality that develops when office holders consider themselves out of reach for the consequence of their misuse of office. George Washington set the example for leadership. Responded to the request of his country and stepped down when he felt his particular part was done. Became a good citizen and let other leadership contribute. We would not now be a Republic if a King George Washington had set a precedent for royalty to be the destiny of this new country.

JSteff, I'm glad you asked. Darrell Issa has to goods, or at least knows where to find them. Come January he will be chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He will have subpeona powers. He will uncover a lot of corruption and, I bet, some high crimes and misdemeanors that will be traced back to Hussein.

If the repubs gain 100 seats in the house and 13-15 in the senate it won't be business as usual. There will be a huge majority in the house, and these new members are CONSERVATIVES, not RINOS. Who knows if they will even elect Boehner as speaker. It might be one of the young guns. In any case, it will be a much different house, maybe even a radical house, unencumbered by "the ways of Washington". The dems will be a ragtag, dispirited rump. The election will kick the stuffing out of them, they will spend their time fighting and blaming each other.

The senate will also look different. I expect a repub majority, once again the new faces will be very conservative. The remaining dem senators will also be a dispirited bunch.

The economy is not going to get any better. Hussein is not going to change any of his policies. As it is, the more people hear and see him, the less popular he becomes. And he is determined to push himself into the public arena as much as he can. He will become less and less popular. As Issa exposes his crimes the people will speak loudly and demand justice.

That's how I see it. I can dream, can't I?

This nation elected an unknown quantity. The media didn't do their job because they were enamored with the concept and symbolism of this half black, ivy league educated guy that talks really smart and regurgitates the typical liberal stuff they love (i.e. the socialist-economic, enviro, secular, multicultural BS).

The average person saw a young guy that was handsome, wore pretty suits, had big white teeth, was tall and thin, walked with a swagger and looked cool when under pressure. To bad that what he was saying was really scary stuff even during his campaigning. But who was listening? The “masses” (as he sees them) were more involved with his cool logo (The first President that branded his political campaign like McDonald's golden arches).

Americans were being greedy and selfish, they were to busy counting all the things they will get for free if he gets elected, like college, health care, etc...... You had overt racism with over 90% of the black vote going to him and many other “self perceived” minorities and underdogs following suit. The yuppy kids thought they are making a statement, being smart and cool voting for him. Most women simply found him attractive and cute. The gays supported him because he promised them everything too, as he did the environmentalists. He promised the old more, as he did those with AIDS but in the end of the day who was thinking what's best for America? What's fair, what's Constitutional, what's right and realistic? In a way, someone like Obama could only rise to power because of the ignorance, selfishness and greed of the many.

We got what we deserve. As your taxes go up, as your health savings account becomes worthless and health care costs will rise 9% in a recession with near flat inflation, remember that we're only getting what we wanted, what we voted for. The Germans voted for Hitler, and in Venezuela they elected Chavez........ Maybe the socialist is right when they think of the electorate in their condescending way, referring to them as the “masses.” Maybe Nietzsche was right when he referred to people and their behavior as the “herd.”

“In a sane world, Obama’s Jeremiah Wright connection would have ended his presidential campaign, right then and there. End of story, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.”

I agree. Over and over again, I find it truly remarkable the power of the media over the great majority of the population.

A month or so ago, the BP oil spill was a catastrophic event with truly world-ending possibilities. The oceans were going to die. The Louisiana and Florida coasts were going to be polluted wastelands for decades. Shrimp was going to quintuple in price. 10-20% of the US population would have to be moved to other sections of the country since the entire gulf coast was to become a live-in carcinogen and teratogen. And our only hope for salvation was to light off a nuke on the thing in what can only be called a “hail Mary” move that was nothing but a shot in the dark indicative of blinding ignorance.

And now? You don’t hear a single frickin word about it. Gone. It’s like it never happened!

But of course. Even if the man is technically an American citizen, he spent his early life “off-shore,” Honolulu is, people forget, as close to Tokyo as to Washington, DC, and twenty-five hundred miles from San Diego. He will have subpeona powers. He will uncover a lot of corruption and, I bet, some high crimes and misdemeanors that will be traced back to Hussein.

That is not what I would expect though. Either:1) Issa does make it back to congress but has a strange accident of the Clintonian (Arkancide) kind or 2) Like SCOTUS he is convinced or forced to drop it all for the good of our union or 3) He is enthralled with the power, money, and control all that info gives him and he does nothing else but retires or just cools out / slows down in a few years better off than you would think someone in government would ever be. He becomes like a Ted Kennedy with a secure seat and tons of favors from all the civil servants he has put into government.

Maybe I am a bit jaded but I wish him the best. Fingers crossed, but doubtful for now. Remember, we are dealing with a Chicago politician/gangster, with powerful socialist and communist pals so the may have some serious on the ropes moments before it is all settled out.

Franken was just a tiny drop of what to expect in November. Multiply that times 50 or more, keeping in mind that the dems still have over 450 BILLION of unspent money from the stimulus and bailouts that has NOT been SPENT up to now!! It will be spent to keep O in power with as much strength as possible.

Possibly (at the end of November) he gets into a weakened country against a weaker than we expect Republican House/Senate and still has gobs of money to get him through the next presidential election (but with 2 more left wing justices on SCOTUS!).

That is one of the most likely possible outcomes we might be expected to have facing us. Remember, as we have seen, the Stimulus was not done for "shovel ready projects". It was for the Dem party, but mainly for Obama's re-election. So far he has worked this out like a clock. And we all thought Clinton had teflon coating or demonic assistance.

But this guy is better than Bill ever was. Also what many/most have not paid attention to or forgot, the Dems after the Bush/Gore & Bush/Kerry elections have been PACKING critical states with liberal left leaning Secretaries of State as their back up plan since Bush-Gore. Even worse, watch to see if he gets two more libs on SCOTUS and you will know it is to plan.

All in all it is a much tougher situation than most have thought out. Not nearly as rosey as we all have been helped to think right now. Pray it is not nearly as bad as I have made it to be.......

Note that not mentioned yet is Soros, Chinese, Russian, or Islamo money... yet...

I agree there is a problem but I don't think term limits is the solution. Reducing the frequency of elections would help reduce the amount of looting. The pork problems we can survive, but the socialism we can't. The Supreme Court has no term limits or elections, like kings, and they are the most conservative, stable, corruption-free branch of government.

I've given up on perfect. I would rather have imperfect rules to the game that never change than imperfect rules that are always creeping to the left. We can never get rid of the leftists so let's stick with the ones we got while their education progresses rather than starting repeatedly with fresh idiots. With leadership change, the rules are always moving left.

If we were to design a better constitution, something close to a kingdom would be the most conservative, stable, and financially sound. Having a democratic government with short 6 month term limits for everyone is the fastest way to bring in socialism and go bankrupt. Look to the United Kingdom for an example of before and after.
