Gaffe?… What Gaffe?… Governor Brewer Increases Her Lead in Arizona Race
Gateway Pundit ^ | 9-9-10 | Jim Hoft

Despite her slight gaffe at the debate last week, Governor Jan Brewer now leads her opponent 60-38 in the latest Rasmussen poll. TPM reported:

Gaffe all your want, Jan Brewer — the polls show voters don’t care. A new Rasmussen survey of 500 likely voters in Arizona shows voters are more than ready to return the Republican to the governor’s office this November. The poll shows Brewer ahead of Democratic nominee Terry Goddard by 22 points. She’s leading the race 60-38, according to the new numbers.

The poll comes after the last Rasmussen poll from August 25 showed Brewer ahead 57-38. Despite the truly embarrassing moments Brewer has publicly suffered between that poll and today’s new one, her already huge lead appears to have actually gone up.

The TPM Poll Average shows Brewer leading Goddard 59.9-36.4.

Wishful thinking on the part of the lamestream press.

Just because someone stops and has a moment of awkward silence on TV to gather her thoughts is no cause NOT to vote for her.

These guys cannot separate style over substance.

One has to wonder. Aren't these the same AZ voters who just re-elected McCaine? Is it something in the water?

The media has milked that moment of silence -- and milked it, and milked it.

It's all they have, the pathetic bastards.

Good. The clip of her “gaffe” was played all over the local Chicago news. What’s that all about?? I think I heard Rush say yesterday that people are fed up with the professional politician. We can’t turn against candidates if they occasionally come off as “unpolished.”

It's not what you say, it's what you do that counts.

I thought it was not a gaffe at all, she had a moment (many) of silence. Those of us that have gone through menopause recognized it right away. LOL! Hooray for her, go get them...take no prisoners..

With all the pressure the Governor is under she did very well in the debate. I challenge anyone to go through that process and not have a moment where you just cannot find the words.

Keep it up Governor we got your back.

Great comment!

Yahoo featured that video - tried to characterize it as the worst debate faux pas in decades.

Glad to see she’s going to win in a landslide.

I suppose the MSM played that “moment of silence” as much as they played obama’s “sound check” when he lost his place in a “reading.”

Jon Stewart did a “Quantum Leap” take off on the silent moment. I have to admit it was kind of funny.

When you repeatedly demonstrate true leadership the voters are more than willing to forgive a agffe in a debate where the odds against you are stacked.

THAT is the FIRST thing I thought of when I saw the clip! Not going through ‘the change’ quite yet, but recognized it from when my Mom went through it, and immediately thought...HOT FLASH! (Or...as it’s better known now...POWER SURGE!)

What she says, and how she says it, pales in importance against what she does, and has done, in Arizona.

That, I believe, explains the polls.
