Obama commemorates 9/11 with appeal for tolerance

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama appealed to an unsettled nation Saturday to honor the memory of the Sept. 11 attacks by hewing to the values of diversity and tolerance. "We will not sacrifice the liberties we cherish or hunker down behind walls of suspicion and mistrust," the president declared.

Speaking at the Pentagon, where nine years ago a hijacked plane smashed into the west side of the building and killed 184 people, Obama conjured a solemn remembrance of that horrible day but also spoke strongly in defense of religious freedom.

"As Americans we are not — and never will be — at war with Islam," the president said. "It was not a religion that attacked us that September day — it was al-Qaida, a sorry band of men which perverts religion."

How about hewing to American Values and the celebration of American Exceptionalism?

Obama has more love for Islam than he does for his fellow Americans.

lays a wreath in honor of those who died

By saying it this way, he equates the death of the Muslim terrorists with the victims they killed.

He did not say, "We honor the innocents who were so viciously murdered."

'all that were killed', implies the terrorists as well.

The term ‘diversity’ just means ‘not White’.

Ever hear of a ‘diversity’ job fair? Essentially this means no Whites allowed.

It is the equivalent of a Black KKK meeting.

That photo pretty much sums it up, doesn't it?

You have four dems out in Iowa campaigning for President. Three of them know what to do when the national anthem is played. None of them are loved here—Gov. Richardson, now Sec. Clinton and Mrs. Ruth Harkin, wife of Sen. Tom Harken and one who did a lot of good prosecuting rapists (if she does that, I don't care who she votes for). As much as I disagree with them, I think that they are in their hearts Americans.

Out current President doesn't even know what to do with his hands, let alone his eyes. He's just standing there lost in space, probably thinking about how much arugula he could grow on that great Iowa farmland.

He just simply does not get it.

You may not like Joe Biden, but he has a son who served in the JAG corp in Afghanistan, and I think that Joe has real feeling for what happened at that place nine years ago, despite his political opinions. The White House handlers were smart in sending him instead of the Pres. The handlers probably understand just exactly what they are handling.

I have a photo for you of our great American, uh, uh, President. Take a look at this.

1. Feet on the desk of the President indicates extreme disrespect for the office. Since(theoretically) it is not 'his' desk, he should have more respect. It shows extreme arrogance, childishness, and a lack of seriousness about what he is doing. As many people have said, it shows he has no clue about what his station is or what he is supposed to represent. He is a child in a man's job.

2. In the Muslim culture, showing the bottom of your feet to someone is an extreme insult. In fact, over there, doing this could get you killed. So, basically, in his culture(Indonesia), he is literally flipping-off everyone in the room.

The Liberals should be so proud of their choice for "best-of-the-best'. I wouldn't hire this guy to work in my warehouse. Hey, but that's just me.

Exactly and it is especially insidious for him to use his liberal tools on such a solemn occasion.

Interesting photo.

I agree with many of your comments, but I’d to add that the President doesn’t seem to have a clue as to who he really is. Until he figures himself out, and I don’t consider his writings to have done the trick, he will always seem to be out there somewhere.

And his wife is certainly not helping matters any. She has no clue as to how she looks to ordinary people, and I don’t think that she has a clue as to who her husband really is.

If i were president, my speech would say :

Islam is a dangerous and evil religion that has spread only sorrow in the world, it is contrary to what is healthy for civilization

The teachers of Islam fail to condemn the violence that its fellow radical islam perpetrates.

The trail of blood that follows Islam leads from the site at ground zero, past the innocent millions slaughtered in North Africa in the last decade right back to its evil center in Mecca,

For these reasons, and until its teachers denounce the unjustified violence, Islam deserves no respect, only marginal tolerance for its misguided followers who do what is right in spite of their religion.

Unity holds a nation together, diversity tears it apart,

Tolerance is necessary to avoid friction, excess tolerance will result in catastrophic failure

He is confused. Remember when Kennedy and Soros approached him he said something along the lines of, “I do not yet have enough experience to be President.” He said that. Even he knew that he was not qualified. But, Kennedy, for whatever reason was determined to stop Hillary so they pushed it on him. In corporate political terms, it would be like going from an office manager to CEO all in one jump.

But when it happened, it, as they say, 'went to his head'. So he starts thinking, yea, I can do this. This is easy.

Remember, when they asked him what are we going to do for the midterm? We may lose in a landslide. His response was, “No we wont, now you have me!” He was out of his head with megalomania.

Now that the walls are crashing down on all sides, his “head is bloodied however his is bowed(Invictus)”.

And we see from his anorexic appearance, getting promoted beyond your experience and qualifications can cause enough stress and anxiety that they outweigh the perks of office.

Obama has been groomed for the Presidency for some time. His mentor in the Illinois Senate gave him bills to get passed and get credit for when we lost the Senate. Lots of folks had worked on those bills forever, but Obama was to get the credit. There was a piece on this by a local Chicago weekly. No one from the MSM even mentioned it.

Remember Obama’s speech in 2002 at the Dem convention? How the h-e-double hockey sticks did some obscure state senator get the big speech job? Over on a dem site, someone who was a delegate said that Obama had a very well organized and very, very expensive “hospitality suite” ready at the convention hotel after his speech. Very, very, very professionally done, and very, very, very early. Of course, that post went nowhere.

Then there's the lack of any paper from his 7 years in the Illinois senate. He threw it all away. Why would anyone so ambitious have thrown away his legacy?

Also, there's the total wipe of anything the guy has written other than his books. No grades, either. HIs wife's senior paper has surfaced again. It's a tough slog.

Somebody wanted Obama in the White House, but I don't know if it was Kennedy or not.

What I heard was that Bill Clinton went to Kennedy and said, “Are you crazy? The guy is a second year senator! He should be bringing us coffee!”

The rumor is that this so infuriated Kennedy that he did the old, ‘I'll show you’ routine. That is when the Soros, Kennedy, ACORN, ‘Get Hillary’ campaign really kicked in. So as the story goes, it was never a pro-Obama issue. It was a stop Hillary issue.

Kennedy took it a a racial slur whereas Clinton meant it as a rank issue. Of course it was not yet public that Kennedy had brain cancer so, who knows? Maybe it is just a story.

It sounds like Teddy just couldn’t tolerate imposters taking over Camelot.

The Clintons and Carters were just imposters to Teddy.

He really never did get over his brothers’ deaths, and who can really blame him. It was an awful lot for a family to take.

Unfortunately, Teddy was powerful enough to take out his personal demons on the public.
