Christine O'Donnell: 'I Dabbled in Witchcraft'
ABC news ^ | September 18 2010 | RYAN CREED

Posted on 09/18/2010 11:49:47 AM PDT by Michel12

Fresh off her victory in Delaware, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is riding a wave of campaign cash but also internet infamy, thanks in part to her controversial statements -- most notably on masturbation -- in the late 1990s on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect." Christine O'Donnell says one of her first dates occurred on a satanic altar.

On Friday, Maher released on his new HBO show, "Real Time," an unaired clip of O'Donnell admitting to a brief dalliance with witchcraft.

We can see who you’re working for!

O’Donnell is an excellent candidate that was talked into this run by people that recognized her worth.

Powerline is carrying water for Karl Rove, and nothing more. O’Donnell’s personal admission of poor decisions in her life ten years ago is not a “character issue,” it is an indication of the strength of her character.

>> She doesn’t need my help or anyone else’s in that regard. She’s imploding, all by herself.<<

Only in the eyes of someone who believes they have never made a mistake that they are ashamed of or who have slipped up at some time in there life.

Others see her as a normal person who has grown to understand her shortcomings and attained a level of understanding that the things that she sees as wrong in her life needed changed. She then learned the real meaning of the constitution as a way of making this country strong again and realized that this country is on the wrong track and needs to get back to what made it strong.

Those who are weak or dishonest with themselves will hold past faults against her. Others will see that what she wants to do in Congress is diametrically opposed to what her opponent wants.

We have a clear choice. Either a person is for us or against us.

I’ve been to a NASCAR race - what does that make me?

I'm not sure what witchcraft has to do with NASCAR.

Problem is...O'Donnell's past seems to be one of impetuousness, bad financial decisions, and now flakiness (the most generous word I can come up with for spending a date on a Satanic altar). I'm guessing she's got more embarrassing stuff from her past coming out too judging from her tendency to speak too freely.

If I was in DE I would still vote for her over the Dem, but I hope we don't get too many more of this kind of candidate representing the Tea Party, particularly running for the US Senate.

“If she dabbled with sin in her youth so what. If she has changed and choose a new path that is ok.”

It’s probably what turned her to Christ.

I will be surprised if this is anything but evidence that she is what she appears to be.

>>A total ditz with no visible sign of income other than that resulting from lawsuits. A “professional activist” is no more qualified for office than a “community organizer.” Why should we expect anything less?<<

Well…..support Coons then. We only have two choices at this point. Actually, talking points against O’Donnell is in support of Coons so I guess you have already made your choice.

Honestly I doubt it is the Democrats that put this out. It’s probably the establisment Republicans and Castle supporters that hate the Tea Party even more than the Democrats do.

We dealt with the same thing down in Florida with Rubio beating Crist. All the stupid moderates in the GOP kept telling us we have to vote for Crist! We have to vote for Crist or the Dems will win! Rubio is too far right and can’t win the general election, etc, etc, etc... That crap is so god damn old.

Hogwash. She was a kid when she did that stuff, and she can dismiss it all as such in one press release. This is going to last about 2 days max. Look at her opponent FGS, he is an admitted Marxist, you can’t get any more nutty than that, and more destructive of this country. Practicing witchcraft as a kid vs being a Marxist as an adult.....who is the real wacko? And Coons won’t be able to dismiss his idiocy as childhood craziness either.

Coons is Marxist toast, and Christine will be the next Senator from Delaware....bank on it!

Incredibly, nearly all the WITCH shows which were on television were promoted by ..... ABC. (ROTFLOL)

Really? In the Witch decade of the 90s, I think the WB was the witchy network(Sabrina the Teenaged Witch, Charmed, Buffy the Vampite Slayer)

“closing ranks”...that is what we need to do. Stop being defensive or trying to explain anything. My standard answer: “So what...”

LOL. I think some dark forces are certainly trying to destroy her. This is designed to get the fundies panties all tied up in a wad, maybe? And who knows, maybe they’ll fall for it.
