lol, you think these idiots parents wanted their children to grow up to be bank robbers and spend their lives in prison? I doubt that is any-ones idea of successful.
From what my relatives in Indy tell me, a number of banks there have adopted much tougher security measures since about a year or two ago when a perp shot a pregnant bank teller in the stomach. That might explain it. If memory serves, the address listed for the bank in the story is in an area of Indy known locally as “The Meadows”, and is (again IIRC) one of the higher crime areas in the city.
They did not think that far ahead.
It’s a condition called “low future time orientation” and it explains this behavior to a tee.

If they did, Hollywood gave them bad ideas about what a happy ending they would have.
These girls have bad manners, tsk tsk. They wrote the note which called the teller a B-word?????? Shame on them.
So each family probably thinks that their girl is the good girl, and that it was the other two were the ones who came up with the idea.
While the proprietor was wrapping Mrs. Lucky's Christmas present, I asked him if the door arrangement had ever trapped a would be robber. He said it had on several occasions, but that his favorite would be criminal was the young perp who, when he realized he was trapped, tried to shoot out the door lock, thereby learning several important physics lessons.
