2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!
3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.
4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.
5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private employer, and most speak English.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.
8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.
9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.
10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.
11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)
12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.
You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy.

a.. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.
b.. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke. c.. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.
d.. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.
e.. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
f.. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
g.. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.
You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.
AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ??
MAYBE WE OUGHT TO KICK YOUR EGG-HEAD BUDDY BUMS OUT OF OFFICE AND HIRE WAL MART TO RUN THE GOVERNMENT ???

Might be locations of the Walmart. My Walmart’s meat is average to other stores in my area. Problem is they don’t stock enough so unless I’m there at the right time I might see one package of steaks left that everyone else passed on.
All 3 of my brothers are more financially successful than I am. That is fine, except when they make nasty comments about where I shop. (I think I am happier than any of the 3).
One brother in particular has his image of spending worn on his person like a shirt.
I had a discussion with him about Wal-Mart. Mostly, I used the purchase of Pantene shampoo for my side of things.
I can buy the large container of Pantene at Wal-Mart (at that time) for $4.67. The same container at the grocery store or at the drug store is $7.50. A difference of 61% more at the higher price.
I asked him how efficient he could think I was in taking care of myself with limited Soc Sec income if I was eager to spend almost 61% more for the exact same product. I told him that unless he was willing to send me a check each & every month to the end of my life for at least 61% more than Soc Sec sent me, I would continue to look for bargains at Wal Mart.
He was very dismissive of ‘those who shop at Wal-Mart”.
Basically, this shows why I have only talked to him twice since April 1989.

...and according to Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart + the present government, the customers are the biggest slobs, miscreants, goofiest, retarded and funniest looking people who have ever walked the earth.
The Sam's Club I frequent has gone downhill and am looking for something a little nicer.

The Gov’t was giving away cheese, and when all the costs were added up, that “free” cheese cost the gov’t $6 per pound to deliver it to the end user.
At the same time, Walmart was SELLING cheese (obtained from their usual suppliers) for $1.50 a pound, and was making a profit on it!

The addition of health insurance as an employee benefit was done during WW2 as a way to circumvent wage controls.
Anything that divorces the patient from costs is guaranteed to drive up prices.
Most of those failed programs should never have existed in the first place.

HC should be a free market commodity just like any other service.

Wal-Mart’s been remodeling their stores this year. I noticed wider aisles, shiny floors, more like a Target.
I think I will let that Costco membership expire — I’d much rather be met at the door by a sweet, avuncular “Greeter” than someone demanding to see my stupid Membership Card and for some undefinable reason I always leave Wal-Mart in an improved mood that has nothing to do with money saved. Maybe it’s all the cute, little kids I see when I’m there.
