DOUGLAS - Douglas Police have confirmed that the wife of murdered rancher Robert Krentz was hit by a vehicle while leaving a church in Douglas this evening.

My prayers to you.....
Hopefully there will be more information to follow...
I wonder if hit-and-run driver Ramon was an illegal.
Probably.
DUI, Hispanic, what is this compound interest? All we need is one more for the hat trick.
Illegal or not, I wonder if it was accidental. I doubt very many people are hit crossing the street in Douglas, so the ‘coincidence’ seems highly suspicious. But will it be investigated?
Hey, Obama! Did she act "stupidly"?
Hey, Colbert! Will the price of your tomatoes go up because there is one less picker?
From the article; “The driver, Ramon Saucedo, did stop at the scene.”
Another story said he was 66 years old. It’s possible that he was just an illegal drunk driving, and not an illegal drunk driving alien.
I misread the article. Thanks for the correction.
No foul. We are so used to the other as the typical. But the guy was DUI. It does seem odd that no other information has been disseminted about his status. Kind of like rat scum politicians not being identified as Dems when the story is no good for them.
So far, nothing in the Sierra Vista Herlad site as well in the Douglas Newspaper site.
For some reason, an old friends name comes to mind, Helen Chenoweth-Hage.
Read the comments at the link, there are more than a few voicing that opinion.
What this poor woman has gone through with the brutal slaying of her husband and pet is hard to fathom. To have this “accident” topped upon her grief is tragic. Many, many prayers going her way.

the driver DID NOT STOP and was located later.

When you think you’ve had a bad day, THINK of this family!
How much unspeakable misery can be heaped on these people living the nightmare of having a border with Mexico!
Where’s the sympathy from our liberal open border hacks now???
Since he did stop, the perp is likely not an illegal alien.....just another cultural boozer driving around.
The woman walking with Sue Krentz has also been hospitalized.
More from the article.
It happened around 6:00 p.m. Douglas Police say Sue Krentz and her friend were crossing the street in front of St. Luke’s Catholic Church when they were hit. The driver, Ramon Saucedo, did stop at the scene.
He has been arrested on DUI, Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault charges. Sue Krentz was flown to a Tucson hospital. Her condition is not known at this time. We also do not know the extent of her friend’s injuries.
” Illegal or not, I wonder if it was accidental. I doubt very many people are hit crossing the street in Douglas, so the coincidence seems highly suspicious. But will it be investigated? “
You read my mind.
If you smell a rat, please let me know. I can’t help but be suspicious of this coincidence.
Ditto!

Thank you for the correction.
[To state the obvious...]
What are the odds of this particular wife being hit? It would be a strange coincidence indeed.
I recommend you ping the correction in post 23. Significant.
i wonder how the two tv stations could get such an important fact wrong? one of them is wrong.
it doesn’t sound good. i looked on her facebook and none of her friends have posted anything.

Peggy Davis: Susan is in critical but stable condition at UMC. She had lots of internal bleeding, broken pelvis and leg. Please DO NOT call the hospital for info. The phone lines are jammed. We will try to keep you posted here. The family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
“She had lots of internal bleeding, broken pelvis and leg”
UGH. Poor woman. I’ve had those injuries...NOT fun.
Thank you for the ping to this. My prayers are with her and the family.
What a mess, our beautiful State of Arizona is in.
We should stop calling these “accidents”.
From the sheer number of hits, it’s becoming clearer and clearer these latinos detest Americans and will do anything to harm us——b/c they know nothing will happen to them.
This sucker even stopped after it happened. He has been arrested on DUI, Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault charges.
Balderdash-—he should be charged with attemnpted murder.
Now, they are reporting that he IS a citizen, he is 74 years old, (see mug shot at link, below) and bond is set at $5,000. (That means he has to come up with the massive amount of $500 before he can be released on bail, and get back to the convenience store to buy more beer, and get back behind the wheel!)

Prayers for Mrs. Krentz.
If this is a coincidence, it’s a remote one.

Illegal Jose Madrigal, the Washington state rapist, had some 30 identities.
EACH FAKE IDENTITY COLLECTS US GOVT FREEEBIES,

EACH ILLEGAL IDENTITY VOTES AND VOTES AND VOTES

I agree.
Believe it or not, there are very few illegals near the border who are not just passing through to the north.
There are Mexican Nationals who are over here for the day and green card holders but very few illegals, it is too easy to be caught that near to the border.
On the other hand and I’ve only been to Douglas a couple of times they have a huge population of hispanics (I think it is politically correct to call them hispanics if they are citizens, ha ha.) Some there from when AZ was Mexico and many, many more who have immigrated since and many who received amnesty under Nixon. That close to the border their culture has not changed much.
A point that can't be emphasized enough, tiki. That fits my daughter-in-law's grandparents from Bisbee.
I'd agree with your assessment that their culture is very Mexican and that drunk driving is not at all unusual. As odd as it seems, this is very likely just a coincidence. A sad one, to be sure, but coincidence nonetheless.
Oh no.
Anti-SB-1070 protesters desecrate the American flag (rescue attempts blocked by Homeland Security Police)

Photo from Arizona capitol rally Aug 3. The media will not show it and the Capitol Police and Homeland Security would not let Americans or Veterans that were present to do anything to stop it.
PHOENIX, AZ (KOLD-TV) - New video has surfaced from the anti-SB-1070 protest that brought people to Phoenix from across the country, including immigrant-rights activists bused in from California. The video shows anti-SB-1070 activists desecrating the American flag. They used spray paint to write, "deport Arpaio" and "impeach Brewer." There's also a toilet seat on the stars.
They displayed the desecrated US Flag and Arizona flags, as our side sang the national anthem. Americans were threatened with arrest by by Homeland Security Capitol Police, and were told they would be booked under federal charges if they did anything to stop the flag desecration.
Those that don't live in Arizona get a chance to see the other side of the anti-Arizona news drumbeat.
This is not about politics and rhetoric, it is about a direct threat to our country.

This sign--more than anything---has turned the tide against illegals.
Especially among people suckered-in by the "here for a better life" scam.

Reconquista shock troops at Phoenix Capital protest, May 29, 2010.
Outrageous.
I’m sorry AuntB. It sounds horribly painful.
And they are STILL protesting!
Protests over police shooting resonate all the way to Guatemala
The remote, indigenous village of Xexac mourns and vows to fight over the death of Manuel Jaminez Xum, a day laborer shot in a confrontation with LAPD officers in Westlake this month.
The L.A. Times has taken the subject of the Westlake shooting of a day laborer on September 5th by the L.A.P.D. to an entirely new level.
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-guatemala-20100926,0,4824257.story
The body of 37 year old Manuel Jaminez Xum was returned to Guatemala where he received a rather glorious state funeral that Im sure his family could not have afforded by themselves, never mind that he had been away from his village and family for 7 years. The article which appeared in the paper on Sunday September 26th highlights the reasons that Guatemalans send their men to the United States. They are able to build huge houses that are mansions by local standards by sending their earnings back home, hundreds of dollars each week, according to the article.
Needless to say local Guatemalans are protesting the murder of Manuel Jaminez Xum on mass demanding that his family be generously compensated. Clemente Samines a Guatemalan congressman promised to help the family by getting the widow a special visa to travel to Los Angeles where she can then file a law suite against the city and the police department. Is that how they handle things in Guatemala?
As a side note the L. A. Times article appears to blame the rigors of American life for driving Manuel Jaminez Xum to drink and become violent. The entire article seems to be a mild expose on the mistreatment of illegal day laborers by American society. At
Kold and the other one Kvoa, have a strange way of writing that he stopped, but was located a short time later. to me, that sounds like (if he did indeed stop on his own accord), he wandered away from the site. usually, when the driver stays at the scene it’s not reported THAT way, as in “located a short time later”. (as in wandering down the street later?)
best wishes for a family that already has had enough pain.
Prayers up for this woman and her family. They’ve been through so much heartache.
May the Lord allow vengence on her husband’s murderer.
The Guatemalan government has issued a public protest after three Guatemalans were arrested this month by immigration agents at a Federal Express office in Florida, when one of the immigrants went to pick up a package containing his newly issued Guatemalan passport. Suspecting that the passport was fraudulent, Fedex officials called ICE agents to alert them when the Guatemalans arrived to collect the package...
Two of the Guatemalans were illegal immigrants who have been deported, and one is in deportation proceedings. Guatemalan diplomats said that Fedex and American officials had examined and seized legitimate passports without notifying them and had improperly disrupted their dealings with Guatemalan citizens living in this country. Felipe Alejos, the Guatemalan consul in Miami, said the events appeared to violate basic diplomatic protocols.
They seized official documents, and they did not let us know, Mr. Alejos said. There was coordination between FedEx and ICE to detain people. FedEx officials said they followed routine company procedures when they contacted immigration authorities after detecting packages that suggested organized document fraud. Officials ICE said they arrested the Guatemalans only after two of them tried to flee from the FedEx office. Both the company and the immigration agency denied that they had collaborated to lure the immigrants to the office....
The Guatemalan government prints and distributes passports for its citizens living in the United States through a private company, De La Luz, in Metairie, La. In December, the company sent the new passports in Federal Express packages to the Guatemalans who had applied for them. At least 30 packages could not be delivered to the addresses listed, said a Federal Express spokeswoman, Allison Sobczak, and the shipper in Louisiana did not respond to telephone calls. FedEx employees opened several packages searching for better address information, she said... (Excerpt) Read more at nytimes.com ...

REFERENCE At a summit held last May, the Guatemalan AG for Human Rights said that 10% of Guatemala's population has relocated to the U S. About 60% currently in the US do not possess legal immigration documents. A 2005 study by the Intl Organization for Migration, says the Guatemalan population here in the US numbers 1,364,000 persons. The study found that the vast majority of Guatemalan immigrants in the US send money back home, to the tune of $3.6 billion last year, alone. NOTE Do not forget, thousands of Guatemalans came here on temporary status after some natural disaster. They didnt go home, and neither will the millions of Haitians. ==========================================
And let's forget this blatant fraud coming to light:
Domestic violence victim granted asylum in US
Dec. 16, 2009.
After suffering 10 years of extreme sexual, physical and mental abuse at the hands of her husband, Rody Alvarado fled her native Guatemala in 1995 and applied for "asylum" in the US. (NOTE Whining about "Asylum" revs up the US gravy train bigtime.)
After a torturous 14-year battle with federal officials over whether domestic violence qualifies for refugee status, an immigration judge granted Alvardo's application and she will remain permanently in the United States. (Sucking off taxpayers forever.)
Alvarado said in court papers her physical, mental and sexual abuse began soon after she married a former military man when she was 16. Her husband pistol-whipped her, routinely beat her, and kicked her in the spine to abort her second pregnancy, she said. He also tracked her down and beat her after she fled several times to other areas of Guatemala, threatening to kill her each time. He once beat her into unconsciousness in front of her two children.
THIS GETS BETTER She was so desperate and fearful that she fled to Brownsville, Texas, without her children. She said she was stopped by a Border Patrol official but allowed to proceed after "promising to report to an immigration office."
NOW GET THIS She boarded a flight to San Francisco because it was the destination of other Guatemalans traveling with her. "She randomly met a native Guatemalan awaiting the arrival of her daughter-in-law. The woman invited Alvarado to spend the night, and she ended up staying with the family for two years." (Watta coincidence.)
Alvarado said her legal victory is bittersweet. She has not seen her children since she left. Her son is now 22 and her daughter 17. They speak on the telephone occasionally, but the relationship is estranged. The children were raised by their father's parents and do not understand why she left.
Wadda ya wanna bet----Soon they will all be here, draining the US Treasury. Hubby will "suddenly" become a loving spouse once the US tax dollars start rolling in.
She now gets welfare, housing assistance, Medicaid, food stamps and is blanketed w/ US govt benefits paid for by US taxpayers.......forever. The kids and will get SSI for ADD and the husband and other relatives will get "injured"---in order to suck up SSI on our dime, too.
” (That means he has to come up with the massive amount of $500 before he can be released on bail, and get back to the convenience store to buy more beer, and get back behind the wheel!)”
and eventually, kill a few people.
How much do you want to bet that he’s illegal, no licence and no insurance?
