LOL! Well this is a state school and this is what the taxpayers and parents get. The parent should say - if I am paying the bills - no sex in the dorms. The ACLU probably sued over this.

Colleges have become like this 4 year deviant babysitter service and sort of trade school.

The news media and parents alumni should be asking if adults at 18 and over should be having sex in the dorms. Two students in small studio apartments are not designed for having sex in them anyway.

The media has already made it into a gay bullying issue.

But Ravi is Indian or something and Molly is Asian so it would politically incorrect to brand them as “homophobes” so society will get the blame.

If it had been the Duke soccer team well they would have been lynched by now.

How am I not loving? I can only imagine the pain and heartbreak of the boy’s family, and the torment he went through.

Thank you, that was what I was hoping to hear included in your remarks. I wouldn't have argued with you had you included those thoughts with your other posts.

I’m not saying that God doesn’t love everyone - He does. But He wants us to turn from our selfish sinful life and take shelter of Him. People can change, and become happy and at peace, and leave such egregious sinful life behind.

I agree. What I found the most painful about this tragic article is that this teenager will never have the opportunity to choose that path now.

And the correct answer is: Because he knew in his heart it was wrong.

TSgt got it right. I've known enough of them to know.

The nice thing about repeating truism is that they can never be wrong (if they weren't true, they wouldn't be truisms), so you can never be wrong when you repeat them.

I believe you'll figure it out if you think about it.

You think Jesus would have condoned sexual immorality?

There is no way you can sincerely get that impression from my remarks. I don't think you are trying to discuss this honestly.

If you don't know, read the Word about forgiveness. We are NOT all simply sinners. There are repentant, forgiven sinners. And there are unrepentant sinners.

Does reading the Word tell you what's in a man's heart and mind?

A normal sane person does not kill themselves.
*************

Not true. Many sane people escape pain and suffering and some even do it to save their family from misery. Don’t sweep with such a broad brush there, TSgt.

Wasn't Jesus' unhappiness with the Pharisees due to their judging sinners out of pious self-righteousness and not out of mercy, love and humility?

No. The Pharisees made up man rules to follow and ignored God's rules for one thing. They also refused to support their parents in their old age claiming that they couldn't because the money was dedicated to God. They used God but were not used by God. That was where Jesus anger with them came from.

The Pharisees used the law for their own ends. God had nothing to do with it.

And preaching morality has nothing to do with Pharisees. Nor being hypocritical.

I asked you before and you had no answer. So answer now. From Post 412: Do you think that ignoring immorality is real love? It is not. Immorality kills people. Their souls and their bodies. This story is proof of that.

I recall he also used a whip on the money changers and kicked over their tables.

He did. He showed righteous anger at sin. He was not passive. Christians have been lied to that anger is a sin. It is not. Jesus became angry and He didn't sin. Sin happens when anger is misused in a way that is not Godly.

Only God knows if a person is saved. Well and the person that has accepted Him.

I do not debate religion on FR. There are too many different faiths on here and I would not hurt anyone by saying that I believe they are wrong. So I won't continue with religious debate on this thread.

The young man committed suicide. That’s an on purpose sort of thing, and really - it all rests on the person who chooses to do it.

******************

I agree. It’s the ultimate decision. BUT, we are all affected by our peers, sibs, spouses and family. You have not lost a loved to suicide. Good for you! Now back off those who have, Mr. Edd aka forever known to me as Mr. Callous.

No, I don't believe that ignoring immorality is real love. I've said repeatedly that I think his actions were immoral... I believe homosexuality is a perverse self-indulgance and sexual gluttony. But I think you are missing the forest for the trees and your comments regarding the Pharisees only confirms that.

I'm going to say good night now as I don't believe further debate will change any minds. Thank you for the discussion and I wish everyone well.

Exactly. One should be tolerant about offenses to oneself, but not to offenses to God and truth.
