House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may be second in line to the presidency, but her influence apparently pales in comparison to a good poker face.
Pop star and "Poker Face" hitmaker Lady Gaga is more powerful than Pelosi and many others, including Sarah Palin, according to Forbes magazine's new list of the world's 100 most powerful women.
We've come up with a new ranking of the female power elite that reflects the New Order of now," Forbes' Meghan Casserly wrote, explaining that new rankings are based on broader cultural influence than traditional titles.
First Lady Michelle Obama topped the list and Gaga was ranked No. 7, behind Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton but ahead of major political and business figures such as Pelosi, who ranked No. 11.

“At the top of our list, First Lady Michelle Obama is a true change-maker since taking lodge in the White House in 2008.”
If she’s more powerful than Palin, then we can expect the Dems to gain more seats in the House and Senate this November.
Want power? Christine O’Donnell turned me into a newt!

I got better.
Her second album went platinum after a year and is still very far from 2x platinum.
It's been two years since she had a number one single, and she's released 6 singles since then.
Beyonce has 3 albums that are 3x platinum. It's been two years since she had a number 1 as well, but she hasn't released an album in between like LG has.
Rihanna has three platinum albums and 4 number 1 singles to Beyonce's 5 and LG's 2.
But Lady Gaga is the darling of the group which the media considers even more important politically than the group Michelle Obama represents, which is why she is the top-ranked musician above Beyonce.
Really...
>>> is she a singer? Entertainer?
Better then most of what’s on the charts. She’s no Dusty Springfield though. But then Dusty was a lesbian so she is disqualified to some here anyway

“Where are you now?”
I now live in the Philippines.
I last left the USA (Tennessee) in Jan 2005.
I was in central Europe until Jan. 2009.
I will stay in the Philippines, my final home.
What’s a Lady Gaga?
If the rankings are based on the slut factor, then I would agree.
She’s so powerful she got the girl who actually came up with the concept to jump off a roof.
The oldest Gaga video material does indicate that she used to sing in a higher register, but I think we can point to muscle building steroid use as a possible answer ~ she has built some muscles, all of which are undoubtedly exercised vigorously in the most profound ways in working up the routines we see in the videos.
No idea...how much CAN she bench press??

Learning Japanese is fun, I like Ayumi Hamasaki more, that woman is by far more influential than Lady Gaga. However that's Japan.

Yay! my first double post!
This is a provocative article meant to be infamously inflammatory rather than factual analysis. Such kinds of articles are needed to sell magazines.
Sounds like Forbes was “racist” making Lady Gaga that “powerful” to me...../s
She’s a singer. So, no.
Thanks ~ always good to have a picture.
WTF is a “’Lady’ Gaga”?
