The DemonRats gained seats in Congress in 1978. So Carter and the Rats got more brazen, and regular Americans got mad. Officially, the 1980 election between Reagan and Carter was "too close to call", The pundits thought that Anderson, former RINO, would hurt Reagan by drawing moderate Republicans with a 50 cent per gallon gas tax. Yes, the DemonRats are that out of touch routinely.
