Most people think that reenactors are weird. This is because so many of them are.

I suspect that most reenactors are just harmless eccentrics. Nevertheless the only one I ever met turned out to be a pedophile sex offender.

I know what you're saying, and what it boils down to is this: the Democr@ps, in league with the MSM, are playing the dirty, filthy politics of personal destruction, because they can't run on the issues. You'll get no argument from me there.

However, we are in the middle of an election cycle right now, and what has been done is done. So, what do we do NOW?

We're playing defense in answer to *their* arguments. We must change the arguments to the issues. As Rush Limbaugh says, we must never accept the libs' arguments, so we must not accept their arguments going forward.

The voters will continue to believe the MSM and the Dems unless they gain a new perception of our candidates, COUPLED WITH accurate information from US.

I just hear you crying about what should have been done, without any solutions regarding where we go from here. It sounds like you're ready to give up on these people who, despite their being political neophytes, put themselves on the line for the good of our country. Though they may feel embarrassment, or perhaps humiliations, when they didn't have to risk exposure in the first place, *they* are not giving up. And OTOH, what the h3ll are you doing to help pull the election cycle out of the fire?

I just see you as jumping on the Dem/MSM bandwagon - the effect of what you're posting amounts to the same thing. Or is perception not always reality?

Nobody is accepting a libs argument, but when you start talking about witchcraft they win. Here’s a plan for you, it’s called VETTING the candidates. Start with that.

Other famous Nazi re-enactors include Brad Pitt, Quentin Tarentino and others. They do if for profit though and not historical interest:

Media idiocy. This is equivalent to accusing someone of being a flesh-and-blood sorcerer because they used to play a 35th-level Magic User in Dungeons & Dragons. Or more to the point, accusing someone of being a Nazi because they always play Germany when the game club plays Axis & Allies.

(Guilty as charged. Hence my FR handle.)

I always wondered when the idiots would go after Axis re-enactors; now I know.

I'm actually impressed that Iott didn't tart up his kit with a Knight's Cross and a whole armload of tank destruction badges. It takes a real man to resist displaying that kind of bling.

His boots look a bit farby, though. ;-)

I think he was dressed as the Germans, not the Russians.

Yeah, they did it for profit, not pleasure. Your point?

It's WAR re-enactment. Someone has to be the "good" guys, an someone the "bad".

This was actually a reenactment of Soviets vs Nazis in this particular battle so there were no "good" just "less bad"

I hope some lessons are learned from this nonsense.

How dare the people chose their candidates. The nerve.

The point is that if we're going to judge that dressing up and acting is a bad thing then we might as well go whole hog and indict everyone that has portrayed any type of bad person. Just to be fair.

Not only that. His rank insignia is for “Sturmmann” - “Private”

You're right. The only award he is displaying is (I think) a Panzer Assault badge, which makes sense for his impression. In my experience, he is being quite modest.

I once observed a group of reenactors (who will remain unidentified) who seemed to think that no German soldier was complete without an RK with swords and a German Cross in Silver. The worst part, though, were the Ray-Bans. All the officers and Felds had them. It looked really wierd.
