I suspect that the greyhaired leftwing feminist nuns are selling off the hospitals for the same reason they are selling off their schools: they have very few novices, few nuns under the age of 65 earning money --- no "younger generation" --- so they need to sell off the assets to fund their retirement. It may not be that they are actually "pro-abortion": but it's something they're willing to accept as part of the bigger deal.

I can only thank God for the new orders --- like the Dominican Sisters in Nashville --- who will be there to love and serve after the tastefully-suited Sister-Carol-CEO's sell out and die out.
