Hillary Clinton to run for US president's office in 2016?
Times of India ^ | 10.17.10 | Press Trust of India

Posted on 10/17/2010 5:39:06 PM PDT by libh8er

LONDON: Speculation is rife that Hillary Clinton may run for the US president's office in 2016, as her husband Bill is back on the campaign trail -- offering thanks to those who backed her in 2008 against Barack Obama, a media report said.

According to Britain's 'The Daily Telegraph', former President Bill Clinton has been laying the foundations for the Secretary of State's another try in 2016, by campaigning for Democratic politicians who helped his wife Hillary run for the president's office against President Obama two years back.

In fact, Bill, now a globe-trotting philanthropist, went to Española, New Mexico, the site of the first European colony in America, last week to campaign for Diane Denish, the Democratic candidate for the governor.

Denish had supported Hillary against Obama in 2008 and Bill was back to repay the debt; he made crystal clear who he was representing on the campaign trail -- and it wasn't Obama, the report said.

"I planned to do about one stop for everybody that helped Hillary run for president because she's one of only two members of the president's cabinet who cannot participate in politics," he told a gathering of 4,000 people.

As Secretary of State, he reminded people, is not permitted to campaign. "Then I got out here and started stirring around and realised that a lot of people were mad and even more confused and I didn't want it on my conscience so I just loaded up and started strolling around," Bill said.

Bill's energetic reappearance on the campaign trail comes just as rumours, some of them eagerly fuelled by the Clinton camp, swirl that Hillary might replace the hapless Joe Biden as Obama's vice-presidential running mate in 2012 or even challenge the President for the Democratic nomination if his popularity continues to slide.

If that’s true, Hillary must wish for Obama to lose in 2012. It’s easier to run against an opposing party candidate than have to defend a disaster.

Hill-Dawg will be, what, about 83 by then? I can’t imagine a scenario where she’d appeal to enough voters to get the nomination in even one state.

A haggard old lesbian with a history like hers would be easy to dismantle.

We will have forgotten bubba’s ignoring the bombing of our two African Embassies.

We will have forgotten the bombing of the USS Cole

We will have forgotten the purloined FBI files.

We will have forgotten the suspicious death of Vince Foster.

Barry is going to step down “for the good of the party” and because America is “so rasis and not ready for a black president”. Hillary will be at the top of the ballot in 2012. The ‘RATS have used Barry up. They don’t need him anymore.

Imagine a 183 year old Hillary challenging an incumbent and hugely popular late 40’s Sarah Palin. Difficult to see how she would pull that off.

No. Her shot was in ‘08. She missed.

People keep saying she can or will run in 2012, but she will be running on the rubble of the Democrat party that BO leaves, and may tick off the blacks.

She missed her shot. It is over for her.

"Barry is going to step down “for the good of the party” and because America is “so rasis and not ready for a black president”. I called this months ago. If the Rat wipe out is close to what we think it will be, it will make 1994 look like a bingo game. Hilly will pass her resignation in at 12:01 am on 11/03. 2012 will officially start. Now how will the blacks react: Admit Soetoro was a failure or see him getting pushed out? Because that may well determine whether or not the majority of the blacks vote or stay home in 2012. If they don't, look out 1972 and 1984, an even larger Rat evisceration is coming.

Here's what I think will happen. Early in 2011, Hillary resigns as Secretary of State. A wholesale cabinet purge is coming anyway; Gates has said he's leaving, Geithner is treading water.

In late Spring, Hillary announces that she's forming the "Exploratory Committee" about running for Potus.

In the Summer, she announces. 2016 is too late for her, and she wants payback for what happened to her in 2008 (and honestly, she most certainly did have the Dem nomination stolen from her, starting with the Iowa and Nevada caucuses.)

Hillary may well be president a lot sooner than 2012.
A) Obama is forced to resign. B) Biden picks her for VP, C) Biden resigns (for reasons of health). Hillary is President.
OR
A) After Obama and the Dems suffer a beating in the election of 2010, Hillary has a big dust up with Obama over some issue. B) She resigns in early 2011, C) Runs against Obama D) Beats him in the primary and faces Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney and wins. E) She is president in January 20, 2012. (She appoints Bill Clinton as Sec. of State,)

2012. Bank on it.

No bet. Hillary won't run if Sarah's in it. She knows down to her bones that Sarah has her beat in every single department, and will crush her like a bug.

Add to that, the fact that blacks aren't going to come out in force for Hillary, after only four years of Obama. They'll feel gypped, no matter what Obama's reasons are for stepping aside. Blacks will believe that Hill and Bill forced him out, so that she could run.

In fact, the Democrats can't run anyone BUT Obama in 2012, because of that trap. Unfortunately for them, he's not going to make it to 2012. He's already unraveling before our eyes, and he hasn't even hit 24 months yet.

The Dems are in one helluva pickle. There's no way out for them. It's over.

This is idiotic.
She will run in 2012, or never.
In 2016 she’ll be nearly 70.
Her husband and their tired team of Dem hacks and spin doctors are still around, subtly helping her out to ‘position’ herself as far away from Obama as they can get, every chance they get, yet still look stubbornly ‘loyal’, and not treacherous to him or the country. This will only increase in the second 2 years of the Obama Presidency, when it will be LOTS easier for Dem officeholders , from top to bottom, to do, playing off the sinking popularity of their “Boss”, as his popularity plummets to about 15%.

Barry is going to step down “for the good of the party”

That could very well be. My feeling is Hussein will cite family reasons among others if any, for stepping down. All these stories about his marital problems, about Moochelle supposedly pressuring Barry not to seek a second term are I think being leaked on purpose. He could always say the standard ' the presidency is taking a toll on my family' or ' I would like to spend more time with my wife and daughters' etc.. and clear the way for Hillary. That way he wont have to suffer the embarrassment of a 49 state defeat while making peace with the Clintons, and also possibly being promised the position of Sec General of the UN some time in the future.

Then for anyone to be talking about this now is doing nothing more than feeding a DNC side show; with both Clintons doing the Lightening Rod and distraction game, which they do so well.

Hilly will pass her resignation in at 12:01 am on 11/03. 2012 will officially start.

Now how will the blacks react:
Admit Soetoro was a failure or see him getting pushed out?

If you haven't already guessed, let someone who's from that community give you the 4-1-1.

No matter WHAT the official storyline is, black Dems will maintain to their dying breath that the Clintons pushed Obama out of the way.

Hillary can only succeed by honestly challenging Obama in the Democrat primary, and beating him for the nomination. For that to happen, someone's going to have to prop up Barry until then. I don't think he's gonna make it on his own.

No matter what calculus you use to look at the 2012 scenario for Democrats, it's pretty horrifying. What they're really going to need is a conservative, who's willing to roll back the worst of that party's abuses. I don't see any such animal in their party, and I highly doubt that one even exists.

Even if they were to find one, would their base vote for him/her? I don't think so.

Bottom line...they're screwed. They may as well face that ugly fact now, and prepare for the Great Reckoning. Being a Democrat from 2010 onward, is going to be a whole new ballgame. The smart ones will sever every radical connection they have, and throw out every vestige of the liberal/progressive agenda they've harbored, because it's all become political poison in America.

I just don't believe it. He is such a narcissist. He thinks that he was elected King not President. Stepping down would be admitting defeat and I think his ego is way too big to do that.
Plus, the Dems can't run someone else. They have the Freakin White House. That is a huge advantage that they simply cannot walk away from.

We thought Clinton was dead meat after 1994. He beat the snot out of us the next two elections. Each electoral cycle is different. Even Reagan couldn't put two good ones together in a row.

If the Clintons are seen as chasing Obama, they are finished. Obama would have to graciously leave and endorse them for party unity. I don't see that happening. Hillary's shot was last time. She is old news, not a rising star.

I think two things. Mainly the disaster that is looming next year as a result of the Obama presidency.

If you think things were bad the first two years, you ain’t seen nothing.

We start the year off with a bang...with new taxes across the board.

Stock market sell offs, housing crisis again, and of course there will be all these little countries testing our resolve.

Hillary will throw her hat in the ring, and all but assure a republican presidency....
