Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee blast NPR over Juan Williams firing
POLITICO ^ | 10/21/10 | ANDY BARR

Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee rushed to the defense of political commentator Juan Williams on Thursday after he was fired by NPR for comments about Muslims.

Palin and Huckabee – both, like Williams, paid Fox News contributors – launched into the publicly funded radio network.

"NPR defends 1st Amendment Right, but will fire u if u exercise it," Palin tweeted. "Juan Williams: u got taste of Left's hypocrisy, they screwed up firing you."

Tracking Left wing funding of NPR

Posted on Saturday, January 02, 2010 7:41:39 PM by Halfmanhalfamazing

As you start to read all this, you’ll laugh at how incestuous it all gets. Let’s start with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which as I’ve noted in the past is tied in with the Soros foundation. Together, the two worked on something called The Project on Death in America.(PDIA)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2341083/posts

And speaking of Mr Soros, he himself(his foundations) have given directly to NPR. Compared to some of the other numbers I’m seeing, it’s a small amount of $250,000. But it doesn’t matter. Soros money is soros money in my book.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2396058/posts

Additional information about RWJF can be found here.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2419729/posts

According to RWJF themselves, they’ve given well over 9 million dollars to NPR. And that’s just a quick google search.

http://www.rwjf.org/reports/grr/024065.htm

http://www.rwjf.org/pr/product.jsp?id=16918

How about the Ford Foundation? Who is known for funding ACORN.

http://www.centerforinvestigativereporting.org/blogpost/20081015acorn039smoneytreehasmanybranches

http://biggovernment.com/tag/ford-foundation/

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/10/beleaguered_acorn_losing_found.html

According to Al Gore’s news site, Ford has given NPR(and PBS) at least 50 million dollars. Sourcewatch has another 3 mil given.

http://www.current.org/funding/funding0509ford.shtml

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=National_Public_Radio

Other groups(in the same links above regarding the Ford foundation) known for funding ACORN, who also fund NPR are:

The Annie E Casey Foundation

Bank of America

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

Here’s a good one. The David Geffen Foundation gives grants to NPR. Sweetness and Light has a great posting regarding some of the anti-US foundations out there, and you’ll find the Geffen Foundation there.

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/taxpayer-supported-america-hating-501c3-charities

Take note how the Geffen Foundation funds CREW. For those who don’t know or have forgotten, CREW or Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington is a soros funded outfit. Funny how this all comes full circle from the beginning, no?

In any case, that list shines light upon several foundations of which you’ll see the Wallace Global Fund. Another NPR funding entity.

NPR gets funds from the Melville Charitable Trust. The Trust’s executive director - Robert(Bob) Hohler is an Obama and Moveon.org contributor.

http://www.melvilletrust.org/about_us/who_we_are.aspx

http://www.campaignmoney.com/political/contributions/bob-hohler.asp?cycle=08

You have the John S / James L Knight foundation as an NPR supporter. Knightfound claims to be a supporter of quality journalism, but then they also support the Huffington Post.

http://www.knightfoundation.org/news/press_room/knight_press_releases/detail.dot?id=354905

The John and Catherine MacArthur Foundation, has in the past given money to La Raza types.

http://romanticpoet.wordpress.com/2009/10/02/progressive-coalition-comes-out-for-acorn/

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2343481/posts

The William T Grant Foundation is another NPR supporting foundation. Amongst it’s board members is Robert Granger who hails from the MDRC.

http://www.wtgrantfoundation.org/about_us/board_of_trustees

Why is that important? The MDRC was created by the Ford Foundation; of ACORN funding fame.

http://www.mdrc.org/about_what_is_mdrc.htm

The Carnegie Foundation supports NPR like the MacArthur Foundation. Also like macfound, they support La Raza.(see links above)

The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is another. They support just about every left wing organization you can think of. Tides, ACLU, Amnesty international, ACORN, NARAL, and of course, NPR.

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/funderprofile.asp?fndid=5337&category=79

I’m sure many other NPR grant sources have far left wing ties as well. I started out trying to track down specific dollar amounts at the beginning as you can see, but after seeing just how deep this rabbit hole goes, I gave up on that and just pointed out the obviousness of all this. The dollar amounts clearly don’t matter. This is a huge cesspool and this is all at the root of a news outlet that does not openly claim it’s bias.

NPR-—the classic expression of ‘pusillanimous pipsqueaks’ of the Left, or what the Brits call “Willie Wetlegs”.
Maybe this will move Juan a little more to the “right” side of the aisle. He was straddling BOTH sides, to my suprise:
since I virtually NEVER listen to NPR, I was amazed to find he’d appeared there AT ALL. But what Juan said was NO DIFFERENT from what Jesse Jackson let out about his fear of encountering a black in a dark alley years ago: a rare honest admission which got NO censure from NPR. It just highlights how the PC forces have made MUSLIMS, of all people on EARTH, a politically protected class, over and above all previous politically protected classes.

Thy black men shall have liberty of speech in defense of liberalism however thy black men are not free to stray off the plantation in supportive speech of anti-liberal causes. All black men are free buit some black men are more free than others.
Thy gods of Liberalism are angry with you Juan Williams.

If I get on a plane and see a visibly recognizable muslim anywhere on that plane, then I am getting off that plane.

They can arrest me if they want, but I will not be ANYWHERE near a muslim for ANY reason whatsoever, but especially on a plane!

I think Breitbart is the only one to get this right...which follows.

Well, if Juan Williams is impacted by the behavior of Muslims, then progressives - and NPR is that, can’t lecture white America that their concerns are based on hate, religious intolerance, bigotry or xenophobia. Juan Williams didn’t drop his mask and reveal any Islamophobia last night on Fox. What he did was rip the mask off the tactics NPR and other progressives, including the liberal media, use to lecture America and prevent an honest discussion of the threat from Islam.

End of Breitbarts’s remark—

So when O Reilly was on the view they could dismiss it as ‘white guy’ making those remarks,...but Juan blew the cover of the progressives, NAACP and other’s accusing Americans of being racist, homophobes, Islamaphobes.

Juan put being American first, before race, religion etc.

Good for Juan.

We are told to ‘be aware’ of our surroundings, and then when we actually speak about it, we get scoriated.

Most Americans know they may have to help defend a plane from hitting the White House, Capitol building etc, these days.

We will defend our country against the war they declared on us.

Most are not even aware that just weeks ago, it was ordered to ‘kill Americans, one at a time, 2 or 3, WHAT EVER YOU CAN DO, WHAT EVER WAY YOU CAN DO IT.

It’s happening. It’s hidden by the media. At least 3 incidents in the last couple of weeks. But since it wasn’t hundred or thousands or millions killed, they barely get reported, if at all.

We used to live in a soceity that was generally safe for us to go to the post office, go to the mall, our sons and daughters to go to recruiting stations. America has to wake up, it’s not safe anymore.

And not talking about it, or denying it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
Refusing to identify the problem is the problem.

I am no fan of Juan’s, I turn the station when he is on FOX, he cheerleads Obama, he pushes Administration talking points, he hogs the talk time, even...but this time, he’s isn’t wrong. And I will defend that.

America does not fall on our watch. Not our watch.

Juan has the right to say what he wants he must be one of the liberals that can’t be bought off for 30 pieces of silver..so he says what is in his heart..People if we don’t put an end to all this crap we will be goners..These filthy Muslims think we have to do as they say..Vote the dirty liberal out of office they are the ones giving the Muslim free rain to destroy our county..

‘I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

Okay, I love Sarah. But why this nonsense?

“Juan Williams: u [sic]got [sic] taste of [sic] Left’s hypocrisy, [sic] they screwed up firing you.”

Four grammatical errors in less than two sentences? She’s posting like a 6-year old. I don’t care if it is just Twitter: she needs to be putting a better public foot forward. Heaven knows the media will ravish her any chance they get.

Given that NPR is a government funded entity, This HAS to be a freedom of speech issue.

The desired outcome...

Juan Williams’ remark is really no different than what Jesse Jackson said about crossing the street if he sees a young black man approaching him on the same side of a deserted street.

I also don’t think she understands the first amendment. It is not in place to protect you when you embarrass your boss, it is intended to keep the government from limiting what you can say.
