LIVE THREAD - North Carolina Results
NC SBOE ^

Posted on 11/02/2010 4:54:45 PM PDT by MitchellC

I'll try to keep up with the results as they come out.

The big races:

SENATE- Richard Burr (R) (inc) v Elaine Marshall (D)

US House 2- Bob Etheridge (D) (inc) v Renee Ellmers (R)

US House 7- Mike McIntyre (D) (inc) v Ilario Pantano (R)

US House 8- Larry Kissell (D) (inc) v Harold Johnson (R)

US House 11- Heath Shuler (D) (inc) v Jeff Miller (R)

Republicans are expected to do very well in local races, and Dem pollsters PPP believe we will pick up both chambers of the state legislature.

Price and Lawson neck and neck early in NC 4. Oh man, if Lawson can pull this off in the bluest damn county in the entire state...

Yeah, Durham will probably report last so they know how many votes to find.

A victorious Lawson would be awesome!!
I have never seen one Price vote I agree with....he is my representative....he does not represent me ever on any issue......aaarrrrrghghghghhhhhhh
...

The national conservative money went to NC11, NC2, NC8, NC7, as these are very competitive. I heard National Right to Life ads for Ellmers over Etheridge in NC-2.

I think if Lawson and Randall (over Miller) had national money that these would be competitive this year as well.

I am getting Burr a shoe in. Pantano winning in the local paper results but not the NC elections site.

Dem counties must be reporting first. Pantano was up in the polls.

Last update I saw showed Lawson slightly ahead. I can’t stand it!

Dem pollsters PPP believe we will pick up both chambers of the state legislature.

That's been pretty clear for quite a while now.

I'm hoping to see Bert Jones hold on in his race.

cities (liberal areas) normally report before rural (conservative) areas...except this time there was so much early voting maybe doesn’t hold?

See the top of the thread - these results are very, very early. Only handfuls of precincts reporting so far.
