Q: will you concede the election was a rejection of your agenda? A: We’ve made great progress and the problem is people aren’t seeing it (move to strike as non-responsive)...
he’s taking questions?
WOW!
... we have to double-down on green energy and energy self-sufficiency... we have to ensure our kids are equipped in math and science... there are areas in which we will agree... the message of yesterday was that we have to work more toward a consensus on my philosophy...
... (still on the same answer... rambling, incoherent)...
About what I expected. Clinton was saavy enough to realize his realm had shifted rightwards after ‘94. Obama never even figured out the practical leftward boundary of his realm when the Dems had full control of the House and Senate, which is how the Dems lost the House. I just don’t see him having the instincts to move rightwards now.
Not a surprise. I figured Barry was too stupid and too arrogant to learn anything from this.
Obama on TV now - no backing down on his agenda
Good luck with that plan, one termer.
He refuses to acknowledge that "the people" did not want his healthcare plan.
HE SAID THAT??
Has he said that the American electorate “acted stupidly” yet?
He’s an ideologue, not a pragmatist like Clinton was.
He, can’’t learn, won’t learn as Clinton did in 1994, he’s done for... a one term’er
.....or, in some cases, not.
More denial and double talk. It’s NOT just the economy and his primary responsibility is not to cultivate the economy. I think there is something in there about protection....
He doesn’t know what the hell to do now.
He still thinks he’s running the show. That he is still magic, and nothing happened yesterday.
The Clintons learned this in 1994 as well. They switched tactics and let the healthcare plan get tabled until someone else could again put it in place.
Hillary could give him a run in 2012.
Been listening to this. Sheesh. You can tell by what he says that when he says he wants the Republicans to work with him, he MEANS that he wants them to follow his orders. Keep it up, Ears. The US people will come to loathe you even more.
Q: Aftyer last night, don’t you think the voters rejected your agenda? A: We are moving forward in an emergency period in which all the forces came together at once and the people felt their banks were failing and people thought that the banks were failing and they thought that it was an agenda rather than a response to an emergency and I am sympathetic to thiose who felt it was overreach and people were upset because we already had all this debt and at what point do we get back to what families havev to do and do the debt rather than the credit card and when I won in 2008 we were so busy to get things done that people were frustrated and I am a strong believer in how things get done in Congress and i had to sign a bunch of bills with earmarks I didn’t like and people felt that this is the same squabbling ike before and I didn’t move enough on these fronts (does ANYONE have any idea what he is saying?)...
He’s clueless.
Never mind...your post 2 answered my post 13 above.
What a colossal narcissist. He will destroy his chances for 2012...good.
He has declared that I am his enemy and now he wants us to get along. Not a chance.
OHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh... I see
it’s THE PROCESS of moving towards socialism that people did not like...
I see
Keep shoveling Odumbass
I’ve watched for 3 minutes and not one thing he’s said has made any sense. He looks half asleep.
Right, big government isn’t their agenda, it was an emergency response. For the love of pizza!
Q: Do you think people trust your policy choices? A: If Republicans have good ideas to drive down unemployment and fix the economy then we want to see what works... I’ll be judged on the results...
Some will say he doesn’t get it. I say he doesn’t intend to get it. His speech this AM is enough to send those on the brink of insanity over the cliff! But let us calmly, and deliberately keep a vigilant eye against where this man is taking our country. Don’t look now, people, but his lips are moving! It’s not only the economy, it is you, Mr. President, you and your agenda to turn this country into a banana republic! This is a moratorium on your spending us into oblivion, spending OUR money for things you are not qualified to do!
“it was so bad when we got here...”
“not having moved forward enough”
“voters are not satisfied with the outcome”
He is delusional. the voters dont like the direction you are going and want off this wreck before he drives us off the cliff.
If that is a direct quote, he sounds panicked and incoherent.
Put a fork in Odumbo, he is done.
The arrogant, self-absorbed, socialist ideologue is a fool and a one term president.
The demon eyes are certainly put away for the presser, as he is very uncertain, unprepared and now useless to the democrats going forward. Going forward, he is finished, but we live with what he has done, UNLESS we can defund it.
We can reverse nothing, but stop everything going forward.
We can expose unconstitutional procedures used for cram down.
We can lay the ground for 2012.
If that is a near transcript of his comments, I’d say he is whining and near panic.
Is this actually the little tin god's quote?????
It is pap! Who, in their right mind in the USofA does not want to be energy independent, conserve when they can, educate their kids???
As to "we have to work more toward a consensus on MY philosophy..."....I believe the election yesterday gave the concensus on your "philosophy" you waste of good air....a vast majority of Americans DON'T WANT IT
Get it?
Asked whether it was his policy choices that caused the tsunami and he danced around and never answered.
It’s his hard decisions in these tough economic times that we didn’t understand. So the health care bill is going to fix that somehow.
Jerk.
Americans elected Republicans to stop Obamunism, not compromise with it. I hope the leaders understand that.
Of course he won’t back down.
A return to civility??
“punish your enemies” is civility??
Yep, that’s my take too.
Q: Do you think Obamacare effected last night? A: When I talk to a woman in NH who doesn’t have to mortgage her house because she has cancer, when I talk to a parent whose child can stay on their health insurance until they are 26, I say to myself: ‘I did the right thing.’... now, if Republicans have any better ideas on how to fix our broken healthcare system... like, the 1099 provision for all transactions over $ 600... if it ends up being not worth the trouble, maybe we should take a look... but I don’t think if we ask Americans if we sant to go back to people dying on the streets because of evil, greedy insurance insurance companies (ok, I made that up), I don’t think they’ll agree...
On what planet does he live? No one is getting these kinds of benefits now!
I’ve got a mournful violin solo playing through the speakers while he talks.
You mean, like his $2 BILLION trip to India?

“Good! That means he will be taken down hard in 2012. Can’t wait.”
I agree. Americans voted their disgust yesterday. And if he keeps this up, we can look forward to another dem bloodbath in 2 years.
blahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahbla Bush’s fault blahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahbla Bush’s fault blahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahbla I’m going to play golf blahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahblablahblablahblahbla Bush’s fault
Washington’s Puppet Spammer speaks. Note, I believe it was Kraunhmmer last night that said he was going to operate Vampire-Care “under the radar” with agency control. Sounds like Soviet Union 2.
The one trick pony - “Hand to hand combat” with “enemies” - (i.e. Americans who disagree with him.)
And now he’s off to a 200m a day vacation in India - waiting for a photo of Wookie on an elephant.
He’s setting up a PR campaign in which the republicans are blamed for everything going wrong, and Obama and the Senate are saviors of the USA (if only the House obstructionists were not in the way...).
He still wants American progress forward* and we all want that, don’t we?
*Note progressives are NEVER asked progress toward what, exactly?
Huh? Wha’ he say?
It’s like Steyn said on Ingrahm, this guy’s political center is not in the US. He can’t adapt like Clinton did because at the core he’s not an American and doesn’t have a US center of gravity.
When he doesn’t get what he wants he’s going to melt down and he’s already telegraphing the fact.
