he lost by 799 votes.
The margain of victory was 790 votes out of a little over 100,000 votes (less than 1%)
The Dem strategy seems to be if they are ahead in a close race (Bennet in Colorado), they declare victory, and if behind begin to explore the recount option.

I don’t know why this race for TX State house is not being recounted. 15 votes between Howard (d) and Neil (R).
Name Party Votes Vote %
Howard , Donna (i) Dem 24,997 49%
Neil , Dan GOP 24,982 49%
Easton , Ben Lib 1,517 3%
What are the totals from Val Verde?
Seriously. But republicans don’t do well in recounts since they don’t cheat.
Thanks Deport, I was thinking Del Rio was in the same district.
