Congratulations America. You have just experienced another free, open and peaceful election. Thank a soldier!

Yesterday, amid the swirl of midterm election news, it was announced that President Obama’s trip to Mumbai, India would cost $200 million per day. His retinue includes 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists, 40 aircraft, and three Marine One choppers that will be disassembled in the US, flown to Mumbai, and reassembled in India to ferry the president and his family and to evacuate them in case of any emergency. Also included is military personnel to ensure his safety.

He has reserved the entire Taj Mahal Hotel. All 570 odd rooms, banquet halls, restaurants, etc. In addition to hundreds of rooms in other 5 star hotels around Mumbai. Obviously no expense will be spared.

Seems to me the House of Representatives should investigate Presidental travel spending and set some limits and oversight.
If true..this is outrageous.
I lived five years in India and could figure out a cheaper way to do it...I'm sure the Indian's are charging the US for every coconut they cut down.

I thought it was very bad news last week when India announced is is buying $8.3 billion of fossil power generating equipment from the Chinese. It was unfortunate that US companies could not win some of this business.

This new order comes on top of the billions already committed by Indian telecom companies to buy 3G wireless equipment from China.

Obviously no expense will be spared.

Of course not. such largess is commonplace with all of our politicians as long as they have access to the taxpayers treasury. let's see how long it takes the new congresspeople to get on board.

Well, ya really can't blame them, LOL..

All kidding aside, there is clearly an abuse of power going on with Obama. He's out of control.

When you find out, ping me. However, I doubt we will know the real reason.

The extent of the entourage is really troubling. There is something going on that is being hidden and it isn’t good for America.

Oh well that explains it! NOT.

Two hundred million a day. Say each of three thousand people get, what? over sixty thousand dollars a day? Or if anyone at all gets less....someone's actually getting MORE than that?

Sorry. I do not believe it. Not even 0bama and Mantoinette can spend like that.

A recent picture is worth a thousand words, for all it’s progress India is still a mix of poverty, trash, cow dung, and it’s other side of middle class wealth....it has only half-changed. It has an allure and many love it. My neighbor and her husband lived in India for a few years, but these photos are from someone recently there for two months:

Enjoy.

Obama is leaving the country with his family, his entire staff and hundreds of SS and FBI.

Also he is taking with him hundreds of CEOs.

What does he know? Does anyone want to take a vacation in D.C. or NYC while he is gone? I don’t think so.

Thanks for the congrats for our state. It’s been a LONG time coming, trying to overcome the 2 lefty counties. But we did it.

Mitt won’t win, huckabee won’t win, they’re both McCain wannabes, and we’re so beyond that. They are so Dole. I hope we’ll get fresh blood. But, I’ll tell you, I won’t vote for either of those clowns. I don’t care if my vote is wasted. I’ve been of the mindset, screw the national GOP. And I’ve told them, point blank, we won’t donate to you, take us off your list. Funny, they don’t call here anymore.

Our local guys are on board with supporting tea party guys. conservatives, if they get nominated, our state GOP is 100% behind them. We defeated Feingold and got Ron Johnson, Ron is going to be our perfect conservative senator. Keep your eye on him.

F the national party. They are so yesterday.

If true we should be jamming the phones demanding that Congress get an accounting. $200M a day is inexcusable extravagance.
It wouldn’t even be worth it if they kept him permanently. Wellll...ok maybe then. Otherwise — heat up the phones. Protest. Howl.

I feel that there’s going to be trouble in India.

I feel there is going to be trouble here in the US.

Obama is taking with him his family, his entire staff, hundreds of SS and FBI, and hundreds of CEOs of leading corporations.

What does he know?
