For some reason I never think of the military as a branch of government. Or better yet, it is one of the only branches of government I consider necessary. It is easy to make broad brush statements in a short forum response.

But, from my brief experience of working for a government bureau, the thing that bothered me the most was that I never had enough work to keep me busy. In fact, on a few occasions I was reprimanded for trying to take initiative which in any large corporation is viewed very favorably.

You are right that political correctness is behind much of the nonsense in government. In the government bureau I worked for we once reorganized our group and appointed two new supervisors. Out of all of us that had college degrees, they selected the two that only had high school degrees to be the new supervisors! The reason they were chosen most probably was because they were the only hispanics in our group. I don’t have anything against hispanics, but it was obviously an affirmative action decision which tends to destroy moral.

The point is....until the entrenched city defensive positions can be broached, the Republicans/conservatives/libertarians will lose roughly half the electorate

The Rats are dug in with concrete bunkers, machine guns and barbed wire that control the high ground

Is it a natural resource issue, an education issue, or a cultural issue?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

You forgot religion. Is it an issue of religion?

Also...If children attend schools that are godless and compulsory...and...if these schools have the power to collect funds from their neighbors through threat of police force, the following **will** happen:

** The children will learn to think godlessly.

** The children will learn that the government has enormous police power to take money from their neighbor to pay for things they want.

** The children will learn to be very comfortable with government compulsion.

** And...Finally,...They will learn to worship at the pagan altar of government atheistic secularism.

and I have been very impressed with all the Generals that I have met.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

At the moment I am having serious doubts about our Generals and Admirals.

No one,...Not even one active general or admirable has come forward to demand that Obama prove that he is a natural born citizen. Also...more than one general is allowing LTC Lakin’s court martial move forward.

while Progressivism is marketed every day by the media.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

And...Our nation's children swim in a sea of Marxist, godless, socialist, secularism every minute they are in their compulsory and socialist funded government schools.

I am amazed that conservative don't share my urgency. Government schooling MUST be shut down and replaced with PRIVATE conservative education alternatives. With today's technology the entire Prussian military and brick and mortar system of schooling children could be very inexpensively replaced with small one room schools, homeschool cooperatives, and tutoring centers.

Yes, there are many alternatives available to us in this age of almost costless copying and communication. The Internet has opened the potential of cheap, high quality education for everyone, if they are willing to learn.
