I appreciate Applebee’s too, as well as Golden Corral and other places that offer vets some respect and honor on Veterans Day. We’re both retired AF.
We usually pass because of the big crowds but we’re sure to give them our business all the rest of the year.
I believe I said that in the first two words of my first post.
Sorry, I guess the graciousness was subtle.
If you’re in Houston, take your vehicle to Bubbles Car Wash.

And on Thursday, November 11th, we invite all active and retired armed forces personnel to come to any Bubbles Hand Wash and allow us to treat you to a FREE Hand Wash. We call this ‘Operation Free for the Brave’. So make sure you spread the word... Thursday, November 11th, from 8 am till 6 pm, all active and retired armed forces members should come by and let Bubbles pamper you with a free wash.
This is a GREAT country, and these OUTSTANDING men and women deserve or thanks and gratitude! Help us honor them.
If you're watching your pennies, don't let him know about Cabella's offer - they will give their employee discount which ranges from 10% to 90% depending on the item to veterans on Veteran's Day.
GO EARLY line will be VERY LONG. Or go at lunch, instead of supper.
We entered the restaurant at 10:50. I don’t often go to lunch at that hour but we were trying to avoid the rush that evidenced itselft when we left at noon:10. Enjoyed the bacon cheese burger. Spent much more than the free meal. I really appreciate the consideration, the honor they offer us. Mrs jimfree and I both wrote out post cards to military overseas and donated to the wounded veterans program. We particularly appreciate this Applebee’s as it donates to a Toys for Tots benefit we direct. It was a great day!
“Thanks, Applebees, but Im proud enough of my service not to trade on it for a free meal.”
Amen.
Amen.
We who enjoyed the promo know that you couldn't possibly intend to be insulting.
“We who enjoyed the promo know that you couldn’t possibly intend to be insulting.”
Then we who served our fellow countrymen (who don’t get a free meal) hope you enjoyed your free lunch.
