Don’t go gettin’ all defensive. You might want to check my profile...You will notice that I am a fellow Californian.

The fact is that we just recycled a failed socialist for governor, sent another one back to the senate for, what, the fourth time(?) and elevated a pack of others to state office.

My remark/question stands; How would letting the socialists in Sacramento select our senators change anything?

In fact, we probably stand a better chance of retaking the state capitol, or at least having a significant influence there, than we do of ever popularly electing a conservative senator.

Ha, I am defensive — it’s been a tough post-election week and the sorry California jokes are getting old. Sorry. I’m trying to keep my eyes on the Lord in it all.

So, here’s the thing — I am not for mob rule, but I cannot see, in California’s particular circumstances, letting the legislature elect our Senators. That could be the last straw.
