NEW YORK – Amazon is selling a self-published book defending pedophiles, sparking discussions about the retailer's obligation to vet items before they are sold in its online stores.
The book, "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct" by Philip R. Greaves II, offers advice to pedophiles afraid of becoming the center of retaliation. It is an electronic book available for Amazon.com Inc.'s Kindle e-reader.
The book has triggered mounting outrage on Twitter and beyond. A chorus of Twitter users is calling for Amazon to pull the book, with a few threatening to boycott the Kindle store until it does.
Amazon did not immediately respond to an inquiry about whether and how it vet books sold in its store.

He's a bad speller too, in "Our Gardens of Flesh: From the Seeds of Lust to the Harvast of Love" which is apparently going to be coming out as a paperback on Friday. I thought it was just a typo on the website at first, but no, "Harvast" is spelled the same way right there on the cover. I'm sure his fellow pedophiles and militant atheists are so proud to be associated with him.
Of course, as one commenter on the Amazon.com page says, maybe the book shouldn't be banned; aside from that whole First Amendment thing, finding out who's buying this kind of thing might be a good way to keep an eye on potential child molesters.

Amazon lists one of the author’s titles as “A Government of Service to All”.
Hmmnn, most of us are tired of being “serviced” by government.
Civilly, this guy is toast. All it takes is one convicted pedophile to say he was inspired or otherwise needed this book to commit the act.
Not that this guy has any assets or income.

I think the matter will depend on whether or not the book is a “how to” guide to commit the crime of pedophilia without detection or is in any way aiding or abetting the perpetration of the act. If not, disgusting as it is, it’s probably protected by the First Amendment.

They should go for it. The first argument used by those caught in the snare will be..."Help, help! I'm bein' repressed! My First Amendment rights are bein' infringed!"

The title itself demonstrates the mental delusion of the author, by the fact that Pedophilia has nothing to do with love, it’s completely about lust, and depraved lust at that.
I had almost $50 worth of books in my cart today that I intended to add to and order tonight but I canceled them. It may be protected by the 1st amendment but it doesn't mean I need to give them my business.
I work for this company and I am ashamed that it sells this crap.
