Politico’s level of discourse has just plunged into to the lunatic fringe with their groundless slurs against Congressman-Elect Allen West. In a primer for the vanquished, Politico reporter Kasie Hunt outlines a few of the GOP freshman “ready-made for cable television” out of the massive incoming Republican class. One of them is Lt. Col. Allen West, and she predicts he will become the “Alan Grayson of the Right.” Ms. Hunt has a lot learn about Lt. Col. West as he takes his place on the national stage.
The longed-for victory of the exemplary American hero, LTC West in Florida’s District 22 Congressional race, and the welcome defeat of the foul mouthed House Democrat Alan Grayson in Florida’s 8th District amounts to a double-header celebration. In a rebuttal to Politico’s thoughtless statement, Warner Todd Huston’s post in Breitbart’s Big Journalism describes the outrageous character of Alan Grayson in contrast with the righteousness of Allen West’s dignified campaign:

I know almost nothing about LTC West. I do know though that to reach that rank there must be some substantial sense of self discipline including that of a verbal nature. In that sense alone West is a superior man to Alan Grayson.
LTC - Mr. West is a wonderful addition to government. Why can’t we elect more people like this? Are all Liberals so dedicated to their stupid agenda that they can NOT recognize a genuine patriot when they encounter one? He should have won by 80%....

LtCol West is the only candidate that I gave financial support to in this election. I am very proud that he is my representative. Politico is just full of crap.

Isn’t it about time the right stopped referencing Politico as a legitimate news sources. I’m not talking about posting here but I don’t see people (among FOX and what have you) going out of their way to give the Huffington post the same stature they’ve given Politico and yet the two are the same. Blogs run by hyper partisans. Sure, Politico may feature ex-WAPO employees but people kid themselves if they think they were real journalists. Byron York is a real journalist. They aren’t at his level. Infact at this point I’d probably give Arianna’s blog more respect then I would politico given how low they’ve sunk lately.

I heard a guy on Mark Levin who called in to say he served under West and the caller said he’d follow him into hell.
The guy was so positive and enthusiastic about West! Compare him to the turd wanna be “king” zero that unfortunately got himself enthroned.
Mark this for future reference: If Allen West only serves one term in the house, it’ll be because he moves up a notch or two...

My saying is; don’t get angry or even, get ahead
The story goes like this, if I don’t mess it up.
While commanding a unit in Iraq, LTC West received intelligence that insurgents were planning an attack on his convoy through a neighboring town. They captured one of the insurgents, who happened to be a policeman, and questioned him. He refused to talk. LTC West got a grip on the guy and muscled him outside into the yard. He got the insurgent on his knees and fired a round very,very close to the guy’s head. The guy sang like a canary, giving critical information. The attack on the convoy was prevented and lives of the civilians in town, as well as lives of his men, were saved. Unfortunately, none of this was appreciated by the powers that be, who like to play nicey-nice, and LTC West resigned his commission. Thus, we have him in Congress!
How can they make this comparison. First of all the Colonel has not even started yet. He will be sworn in two months from now. The Colonel is still speaking as a civilian. Comparisons cannot be made at all about these two.

Consider the source. West is a man who we would run through a wall for. Grayson is an unmedicted Manic Depressive who needs to be behind a wall.
