GOOD LORD, GERALDO IS DOING A TRUTHER SHOW!! (Vanity)
FOX News | November 13, 2010 | self

Posted on 11/13/2010 7:25:07 PM PST by Lucius Cornelius Sulla

On tonight's Geraldo Rivera show, he had on a couple of people purporting that 9/11 was an inside job because 'Fire Can't Melt Steel'. At least one was from 9/11 families (I do not know if it was one of the handful of anti-war 9/11 famil;ies or not).

Has Roger Ailes gone crazy!

What more can I say. FOX.....please get rid of this guy.

Oh, no...this is actually brilliant. Have supposed honest libs expose themselves for all to see. I see this as a benefit when it comes to allowing libs like Geraldo to represent the supposed respectable left.

We have lots of “loonies” as some call it asking silly scientific questions:

http://www.ae911truth.org/

After all, architects and engineers know nothing about buildings. (sarc)

I mean come on, let’s not thow in some real science, like collapse speeds compared to other demolished buildings and such...

http://cms.ae911truth.org/en/news/41-articles/403-lack-of-deceleration-of-north-towers-upper-section-proves-use-of-explosives.html

Shh. Don’t tell tell anyone your secret...Newton was a democrat. LOL!

At the time of the issuance of the reports examining the collapse I spent plenty of time looking for the brackets. There were a few but not many. The brackets were welded on the vertical columns with no physical support other than the welds. The weld material supplier may had had some long standing issues with the strength of the welds done their way.

The combination of the two likely contributed to the ease of each floor pancaking onto the one below.

lol, the other one that gets me is their pointing out that thermite was found on the site- completely ignorant that thermite is used in cutting torches- the kind used to dismantle the debris for removal.

Well, Kackikat, from your answers it’s hard to tell where you stand. Do you think building 7 collasped because of an inside govt job?

As soon as Baraq Hussein Osama comes on the TV, I hit the mute button or change the channel. The only one that’s even close is Geraldo the War Hero Rivera.

come on BL... who would ever believe the govt would lie to citizens, I mean the center fuel tank made perfect sense and the fertilizer bomb at OKC didn’t have to leave a hole, and it was just a mixup when they put real explosives in the first WTC bomb instead of fake powder.

don’t wake the sheeple, let’m get back to the real reality shows!

ymmv

The thing has more lives than Jason Voorhees. I thought the collapse of the I-580 overpass in California caused by a gasoline truck crash and fire finally killed off the "fire can't melt steel" myth.

The Mechanical Engineer and the other guests did think that it was impossible that Building 7 could fall because the columns just collapsed.
Well the whole area of Manhattan is built on nothing but landfill.
But why blame the U.S. Government (i.e Bush)?
If the believers believe all they do in terms of the mechanical failure why blame the U.S. why not the enemy that may live within our country setting bombs?
This is where the Truthers argument goes political and not scientific.
It’s a bunch of crap that should have been put down immediately but the MSM
loved the drama, to the detriment of the loved ones.

The WTC steel beams and posts didn't have to melt for those buildings to fall. Look at the graph below. As the temperature goes up, the steel softens, and the strength of the steel to carry the load goes lower. The buildings collapsed at the moment when the strength of the hot steel was not enough to hold the load they were carrying.

It's typical to load steel no higher than 60% of the steel's room temperture strength. Look at the chart, and you will see the line cross the 60% line at about 1200F. It take 2700F to turn steel to liquid, which is not necessary .

Of course, just like firing many rounds rapidly out of a rifle will warp the thick steel barrel.

thats right— have you ever seen what cement does when heated— i tried it with a torch to see what would happen.. it pops like a firecracker and breaks off in chunks. (wear safty glasses)- when the beams weakened from the fire on the towers the top portion came down like a 100 ton wrecking ball, (thats why it was dust) — if explosives were used it would have been chucks flying off and not cement dust

“Fire can’t melt steel’’. No? Tell them that in Dresden Germany. They might disagree with you. Better yet, ask them in Hiroshima Japan. They can really tell you what heat does to steel. And lots of other things too.
