No problem, this is about Cody Alicea, a 13-year-old California boy who rode his bike to Denair Middle School with an American flag on his bicycle, as a show of support for veterans, for the upcoming Veterans Day. Cody, after complaints from some other students who were offended by Cody riding this bike to school with an American flag on it, was told to remove the flag by the school.
The school alleged safety for the kid was a factor in their decision.
The computers and phone systems at the school became overloaded and melted down the past week by tens of thousands of outraged Californians and others from around the country that were calling/emailing in.
The school reversed it's decision after this massive show of support for the kid.
This was a big event, as these people that were offended by our flag, never ever expected this overwhelming community support.
More images of Cody being escorted to school by hundreds in a show of community support
I don't know about bonds, I do know that CA has been borrowing $40 million per day for unemployment benefits. I'm less worried about those than I am bailing out the state budget and unions.

Hispanic youths in North Carolina, struggling to find acceptance in U.S. culture, are increasingly turning to gangs and other self-destructive behavior, according to studies and those who follow the trends.

Why would you post a photo about gangs and dropouts in North Carolina?

Modesto Bee - (BRIAN RAMSAY/bramsay@modbee.com) - An emotional Cody Alicea, right, is hugged by his father Shawn Alicea. 13-year-old Cody Alicea brought national attention to Denair, Calif., after he was asked to remove an American flag from his bicycle that he rides to school each morning by school officials. On Monday morning, Alicea rode his bike to school with the flag, followed by hundreds of community members bearing American flags. Nov. 15, 2010.
There are few Hispanics in attendance. Many didn't look too happy about being there but I'm glad to see them there.
I don't blame you for being proud of your state. I've defended mine as well and we have BIG problems to.
I hope this brave young man creates a lasting impression on what it means to be an American and that he isn't forgotten and left to the mercy of those in his community that don't care for America. I think it's up to the people in California to see that this doesn't happen.
Good luck to you and say hi to governor Brown for me.
Because the ones I saw that where in California were all too obscene to post.

What the hell is with you?

Good grief, Cody was crying in front of his fellow students...How easy ya think that is for a 13 year old boy? When do ya think the last time any of these kids saw the local, national media, helicopters over head, hundred of bikers and all this community support...Some of these kids were probably just blow away.
This was great event, and all you can do is bitch...What’s up with that Errant?
For others, this is the other video that needs to be watched.

A sorely needed feel good story from CA.
You done good, especially considering how much crap CA FReepers have had to take in the past two weeks.
Thanks for posting it.
Well it's like I said before, "Maybe I shouldn't have burst your bubble".
Maybe you should just chill out and enjoy the moment?
Be sure to watch both videos here...
Any leftist school administrators, or students that where offended by our flag, must have totally recoiled when they saw this community support and Cody's escort to school below.
